Very pale yellow color. Bright nose of melon, apple, and lemon. Moderate acidity offsets hints of sweetness in one of the most balanced sauvignon blancs I've tasted -- look elsewhere to find a citrus jolt. Due to the relatively subdued varietal character, this wine drinks easily without food and pairs well with dishes like the sockeye salmon, squash, and fresh green beans we had last night. Excellent QPR.

Palest yellow-green in color. Very fresh nose of citrus & melon. Fresh fruit palate, as well, with tart citrus, green apple & melon. Notes of tropical fruit, also, and a faint minerality. Bright acidity, and a zesty, pleasant finish. Enjoyable SB for an everyday quaffer, and very reasonable QPR @ 8 bucks!

This is a decent sauvignon blanc, showing aromas of guava, pineapple and grass. Tangy acid on the palate, with green apple and lime fruit, accented with grassy and jalapeno notes.

Good for a hot day. grassy and very acidic, but with some fruit. Feels a little unbalanced somehow, but still enjoyable, and a fair deal at 8 bucks or less.

Otherwordly experience, deftly presenting a veritable melange of gustatory rejoicings. Bountiful presents like nectar of the gods, sweet ambrosia sent earthbound to fill an empty spot I never knew I had and to slay my soul. I wept, oh sweet mercy, the ghostly, ephemeral notes of ... Ah, who am I kidding? It sucked.

Fresh and flavorful, but a bit tart. Pale straw color; lovely aromatic nose, with flowers, limes and tropicals (passion fruit) - very NZ; tons of acidity (a bit too much, perhaps), pretty lemon-lime and passionfruit flavors and bracing minerality; nice tangy, zesty finish. Would have liked a bit more fruit to balance the acidity, but still very nice. Best if not too cold.

This is a very good, and in some ways unique wine. Probably a little on the crisp side, the fruit does not dominate this wine. It acts a lot like an Old World wine. It just has that feel of having spent a long time on the vine. It is not overly complex, but still there is a lot going on. For example, there is quite a bit of that mineral earthiness for an American wine. In a good way the fruit is a little grainy, maybe because of the acid. Everything works in harmony. The lemon and honeysuckle balace each other out. The 20% barrel fermentation helps round things out. I get some very nice gooseberry on the finish.

Cedar, Granny Smith Apple, juicy pears and green grapes. Acidic like a vinegar, hits the roof of your mouth like wasabi if you do it right. Refreshing your mouth as you eat, like pure water. Nose like fresh meadow flowers. Paired with fried chicken, biscuits & honey, red beans & rice.

Pear, grassy, green apple, candy/honey on the nose. Tastes include dried fruits, green apple, herbacious. Finishes with a crisp acidity with fruits, and hints of candy/honey.

Clear light body, aromas of minerals and cut grass, taste of lemon-lime tartness with a broad base.

Good SB, comparable to basic New Zealand, zesty but not as bold as some. Good balance for me. Several bucks less than NZ. Buy again.
