Excellent at 11 years old. Fruit-laden, blueberry as previous reviewer notes. Soft leather, some stone. Great merlot nose, palate full yet smooth, soft tannins - fully integrated now.

I was quite worried by the last two comments, so I am very pleased to say that this is a) delicious and b) showing no sign of decline. This is particularly so since I bought it after tasting it at the Chateau in 2012. This is a really good example of a top notch Blaye (of which there are few). Lovely, soft but well balanced Merlot (predominantly). Very moreish.

Good QPR, gave it three hours of air which suited well (magnum). Very popular and clearly has a few years left in it - will wait a year before doing next one.

A very young-looking, semi-opaque, dark purple in color. Very beautiful and complex on the nose. Pretty aromas of crushed dark berries, earth, spice, leather and flowers fill the glass. Medium-to-full-bodied and silky in texture. Offers a fresh, juicy mouthful of ripe, delicious plum and dark currant fruit with very good depth and intensity. Finishes with decent length, showing a huge mineral streak and velvety tannins that are just beginning to integrate. Just a little bit oaky and tight right now. Delicious already, this should be really outstanding a few years from now, after it has completely unwound and the oak and tannins have fully integrated. What an excellent value at around $16. 50+5+13+15+7=90

It was pretty acidic when we first opened the bottle but the more we left it to breathe the better it got through the night, hints of tobacco, smoke - will def age well. Paired it with stuffed pork loin with mushrooms and bacon - good wine to drink with a hearty meal if you're going to drink it now. Will probably buy one for the "cellar" aka basement storage room.

Really a nice Merlot, but so much oak, I think it needs a good couple of years or more in the cellar. Its clear that I think this has a lot of potential, where the dark cherry, plum and coffee notes, but I don't like all of the oak involved but this will integrate. Good tannin and acid with tannic mouthfeel and the finish.
I would like to buy about 6 bottles of this to hold

Wine was deceptive, it opened up slowly but really started to enjoy it, good flavor, medium bodied, tannins still strong but this wine should age nicely; will drink again; good value.

Open for business with its espresso bean, black cherry and cocoa scented nose, the wine is soft, polished and round, with a lush textured, black raspberry finish. Produced from 100% Merlot, this is a solid Bordeaux value wine.

Good wine, a bit of acidity and just past its peak. I suggest that if you have any, drink it now. It will not get any better.

Very nice Bordeaux - Will likely improve with a couple more years in the cellar. 91 now with a potential for 92 points.

Medium red. Fruit forward, with cherry and tartness of cranberry. Still plenty of tannins, hints of licorice and leather.

Vinturried into decanter. Improved with a little air and time. Bright and a bit young at this point. Will give the remaining bottles a few more years.
