Delicious wine with real weight. Golden hues but no sign of oxidation. Burgundian character with stone fruit, lemon and hints of chalk. Paired well with a variety of foods and tasted over several days. I was disappointed when it was gone but I have another 2010 and just purchased the 2015.

Reviewing Business Numbers (Restaurante Garcia de la Navarra - Madrid): I like that in the mouth the aromas of freshly cut herbs have been replaced by metallic and smoked notes. Instead in the mouth is short and a little astringent. What it has won on the nose has lost in taste. A pity.

Less common white wine grapes (Houston, TX): Honey and floral aromas on the nose, following up with lemon zest and citric oils on the palate. Some pineapple flavors at the start, finishing with spice, vanilla and some minerality. A complex wine with decent acidity to pull it all off.

Initially over chilled and got much better as it warmed. Lemon custard, floral and beeswax nose. Very vibrant and juicy. Lemon, pineapple and caramel flavor with bracing acidity and a little sweetness on the finish. The last vintage I tasted was their 2008. This is better. A superb effort and very attractively priced. Godello seems to be the hot varietal these days and hard to find locally.

To be honest, this wine really stole the show tonight. It just turned out to be the most complex and interesting wine of the night. It really resembled a white burgundy in a lot of aspects, with a floral nose with hints of vanilla. The oak was present but not overpowering. It had flavors of pear, peach and vanilla with a very resounding finish. Really enjoyed this and probably the finest Godello I have ever had! I gave this 94 points and it finished first on the night!

Moderately sweet, fruity, slightly oaky. Lively, off-dry, rather light and fizzy, some minerals. Slightly sweet n sour finish, moderate length. Simple, very drinkable.

Good wine, started off a little tart but with air it developed an interesting minerality and has nice density and length. Not my normal preferred style but this was a pretty good, unique styled wine. Good QPR

Highbury Vintners' Christmas Tasting (Clock Cafe, Highbury): A hint of sweetness on the nose - toffee apple or burnt caramel. Palate is also rich - and broad - but balanced with an opulent, creamy mouthfeel and generous apple-y fruit. Sits somewhere between a Loire Chenin and white burgundy. Just gorgeous.

Judgement of Six Fours, France vs. Spain. Blind tasting. Twelve tasters. Hue a bit more clearer than his French opponent. Nose of honey and cereals. Nice mouth seductive balance and thick of lemon, white spices and a light residual sugar. Long after taste. Non oaky, a universal good wine with native grape type . Avg rate:14.2/20

Dinner with Friends (FMIII in the OC): Hey, sometimes you get it right. I picked this wine because I wanted something off the reservation for a group of knowledgeable wine friends. Glad this held its own with full flavor profile that seems to encompass multiple varietals although it's not a blend. Pear, apple, lemon, mixed roasted nut, and real weight on the palate. Fruit forward and doesn't let up through the finish. Definitely repurchase and great QPR.

Shows a suave texture with white peach, mango, mandarin orange and yellow apple. Reminds me a bit of chenin blanc and if I had it blind, given these descriptors, I would guess a Chidaine Vouvray. Good acid and clean finish. I enjoyed this, a nice surprise.

Very Burgundian in style, this 100% Godello from 35-year-old vines, grafted from gnarled old Godello vines planted by the monks who previously lived on the site, is forward, round and full-bodied, with butter, toasted almonds, marzipan, popcorn and lemon peel on the nose, and a big bold but not overdone palate, with enough acidity and minerality to leave a long-lasting impression in the mouth. Very nice. 13,5% ABV.

My first bottle of this intriguing Spanish white wine, made with 100% Godello grapes. It has the acidity and backbone of an Albarino, but it is more full bodied and rounded like a Chardonnay. Moderate oak. Worth seeking out.

Nose of white orchard fruit, florals, and a citrus streak. Good weight with a bit of viscosity on the palate. Tastes of white & yellow fruits; pear, lemon curd, apricot. Some mineral & blanched almond tones lie beneath the fruit. Back end was a bit awkward to me, but most of the flavors are there--just came off clunky, or undecided. Despite that it's an interesting, quality-made wine.

This full-bodied white wine from Spain has a rich and creamy texture with a good balance of acidity. Very aromatic and fruity with notes of green apple, citrus and mineral that carry on through with a long finish. Outstanding!

New grape for me; more body than Albarino; rich like a Rhone white, but also plenty of acidity, minerality; went well with seafood.
