A lovely wine in every way this 2004 Sauzet is pristine with a pale green gold colour and a fresh nose of white stone fruits, pear, white flowers, hazelnuts and touches of honey. The palate is classic Puligny with lovely stone fruits, lemon drops, honey and nuts balanced by a piercing minerality and grip. Delicious and a reminder of what White Burgundy should be at 14 years of age.

Second bottle in the last couple of months, both excellent. Nose was an expressive combination of flowers and fruit. Palate was laser like with a combination of fruit, minerals and good acidity. Full palate and long finish. Hoping my remaining bottles will be this good, but will not push the limit on time.

Moderate yellow; lovely yellow flowers aromatics coming from the glass; peach pit, lemon curd, rocky limestony minerality; delicate with slight creamy yogurty component; super silky, soft, little bit of weight but elegant, perfect lift of acid in the back end with a moderately long finish. Really classy. 92-93.

My bottle was a bit disappointing. It did not express the terroir of the 04 vintage I was expecting. The nose was shy perhaps. Aftertaste had some nuts initially but it turned into a sour sour taste by end of the night (2 hours later). The richness and finesse of the Sauzet style was present. Perhaps an odd bottle.

Green-gold with some deepening of colour. Nose white peach and pear, touches of lemon and grapefruit. Nuts and limestone earth follow. Palate emphasises the fruit characters but followed by nicely austere mineral touches with good grip and drive. In perfect shape and an excellent 1er Cru despite being submerged in the summer 2011 Brisbane flood.

Great year - delicious wine with classic white peach, apple, limestone nose with intense mineral finish on the palate. In great shape unlike the 2 bottles 2002 Perrieres tried before which were severely premoxed

Christmas Day 2013 (My place, parramatta, sydney): Aromas of toast, biscuit, slight lemon and stone fruit, cream, butter and honey. In the mouth there are medium minus intensity flavours of peach, toast, cream and butter with slight toasted hazelnut that lend a touch of bitterness on the medium plus length. Subtle, nice.

Singing as the last one, refreshing and youthful, few signs of development at eight years old. Lovely chard-y character to the fruit, steely, spicy minerals, "kerosene", hazelnut...

Medium gold. More advanced than it should be. I suspect provenance is the cause judging from the other notes on this wine. I think this was grey market, and it must have been exposed to heat. Two bottles from this source and both were the same. Reenforces my belief to avoid grey market wines.

Superb wine. Notes of sea-salt, ready to drink but years ahead of it as well. Great balance, fully integrated, complex minerality and good core of fruit.

5/6. Pale/medium straw. restrained, subtle but complex nose, showing pear fruit, creamy vanilla, subtly spiced with some soil notes. Medium/full bodied on the palate, creamy pear fruit, good weight and nice contrasting, fresh acidity, some honeyed notes and much more soil than on the nose, coming through strongly with fresh citrus acidity on the very good length finish. Drinking well now and not sure I would risk this for that much longer. Last bottle in next 6-9 months.

No formal note. But lovely, understated subtly creamy ripe pear and apple fruit, some attractive floral notes and just a hint of mineral and soil. Long and well balanced, a complete pleasure to drink.

Bright, pale lemon. Ripe pear and apple fruit, well integrated vanilla oak, floral notes. Good latent complexity but still youthful. medium/full bodied, ripe fruit, creamy vanilla oak, floral hints, attractive creamy weight, nice contrasting acidity, long, lingering finish. Lovely, with plenty in hand.

Pale lemon. Bright. Discreet creamy oak, seamless, luxurious yet restrained, some floral notes, youthful but with slight hints of mineral and soil as it warms. Medium + bodied, creamy pear fruit on initial attack, seamless and long on the mid-palate with hints of soil and a note of citrus on the creamy but fresh, persistent finish. Very long and very, very good. Quite like this now but it should improve.

Scott M. Dinner Party (Home): Pale yellow color. More mineral white frui on the nose and the palate. Tighter mineral and white fruit - more austere but still very nice. Might be a better wine than the Combettes over the long haul, but not giving up as much today.

Sharp aromas of pineapple, lemon and crushed stone on a toasty backdrop, translate to the palate with the addition of a bright acidity and a long fruit driven finish.

Tasted at the domaine. 45% new oak. Less fat than the Referts (see TN). Faint butterscotch on the relatively subtle nose. On the palate, more noticeable acidity than the Referts. Overall, more delicate, Finely detailed, though not as tense / lean / mineral driven as the '04 Garenne (see TN). Nice.

Very lean almost to the point of lacking fruit. Lots of lemon/lime green fruit. A bit awkward. This was excellent on release. Maybe off bottle.

Wonderful oily minerally candied nuts, iodine, hazelnut, candied lemon/lime, nice.
The wine looks Yellow gold colored. It smells like Lime, Lemon, Pear, Honeydew, Mineral, Stoniness, Acacia, and Hazelnut.

Nice, but too young. Significant acidity is distracting at ths point, and needs to resolve. Try again in 12 months.
