This drank well, with red fruit, cherry, raspberry and a touch of strawberry, quite a bit of spice and a touch of herbs. Not much earth or forest floor, this time. We had this with Scottish salmon (sashimi and griled), and it was a very goid pairing. It did drink a touch light, however, and no better than August 2016. Drink now or hold. Good QPR at $23 plus fees and shipping.

Nice Dundee Pinot from the hot '09 vintage. Forrest floor, strawberry, raspberry, black cherry, cinnamon with just a hint of toasted wood. Lively acids up front, warm integrated tannins bring up the rear. Don't know how much more this will evolve but has all the makings to last a few more years.

Tasty wine. Cherry, red fruit, some spice, herbs, earth. We had this with grilled atlantic salmon (thanks Pam k) and it was a wonderful pairing. I think this wine would drink better with another year or 2 of bottle age.

Medium Burgundy color with a bouquet and flavor that had the underpinnings of a typical Pinot Noir, but lacked definition when it came to fruit. Pleasant but somewhat puny. It had much more of everything than the average Burgundy, but was no where near the best of California and Oregon Pinot Noirs.

Interesting wine, spicy but probably due to high alcohol content, earthy with some complexity but the wine lacked something, it never sang to us, drank with rack of loin lamb chops, expensive wine, probably will not drink again.

Dropped into a decanter and consumed over the next 3+ hours. Smells like Dundee to me with dark cherries, some raspberry a little loam and vanilla. Medium weight with still noticable tannins it walks a nice balance with more red fruits and less loam on the palate. Like the lift on the finish. Not complex but enjoyable.

Clear and bright, pale garnet colour and dense legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium+ intensity aromas of strawberries, raspberries, black cherries, cream, vanilla, game and hints of dried roses and black pepper. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium+ acidity, medium- fine grained tannins, high alcohol, medium body and medium intensity flavours of strawberries, black cherries, vanilla, game and hints of dried roses and black pepper. Medium+ finish.
It is a very good quality wine with a great complexity provided by some tertiary aromas, showing finesse a decent finish and a good balance between acidity and body, but it lacks some fruit concentration to balance the alcohol. Can drink now, but it has enough acidity to develop a bit more of tertiary aromas in the next 3-5 years.

The prior note was from the winery, and this is more of a pnp experience.
Definite barnyard and blackberry aromas initially. As the wine opened up, the barnyard went into the ether and was replaced by hints of cedar. Likewise with the flavor--the initial barnyard notes gave way to a more fruit and spice driven experience. Earthy notes on the finish throughout.

has hit a nice drinking window with the too early buzz gone and a soft texture reminiscent of 2008 more present;not as ethereal as 2008 but a good drinker nonetheless

much earth with a little fruit at this point;may balance out and evolve nicely with a little time if we can keep our hands off the bottles in the cellar

some buzz at first so a decant was needed ;never did open up completely but much potential;tart fruit and not much mushroom or forest floor at this time;try and leave the rest alone for awhile

Moderately interesting nose with a little gaminess - but once it hits the tongue that's all gone. Cherry coke, alcohol and a little bitter tannin on the back end. Not a fan.

Dark fruit and almost a meaty nose. Complex with lots of structure. I was a bit surprised at the tannic level. I think it is still resolving, so try back in a year or so. Excellent potential.

VG 09 Willamette Valley PN; Had 2 bottles at dinner in a restaurant. The second bottle was not as good and tasted like cherry soda, not good, it was as if it as completely different wine. This rating is based on the first bottle. Nice structure, good nose and well balanced. Enjoyed the first bottle.

Nose reveals darker, deeper red fruits, some pomegranate, earth, perfume and exotic spices. This wine is serious, deep on the palate, but still delicate and beautifully balanced.

Fantastic Willamette Pinot. Loads of dark fruit, cola, spices, mouth watering acidity and a long finish.

Day Trip to the Willamette Valley (Willamette Valley, Oregon): Ripe black cherry aroma with a hint of spice. Good structure. Layered tart and ripe cherry flavors with earth and spice accents. Long finish.

One of the best PNs I've tried in a while. Excellent right out of the bottle, even better after opening up for a half-hour or so.
