First impression - was blown away by the long finish. Very long and nice finish with super soft and fine fine grained tannins.
Interestingly the 15% alcohol isn’t apparent
Dark, blue or black fruit with maybe some cocoa or rich notes. There is certainly a lot going on here. Yeasty richness blended with dark fruits like black currant and the rich flavor Marmite without the sting/bite. Lighter bodied.
95% Grenache with 350 cases produced.
Very well made wine with a lot of balance. Great choice if your group is split between burgundy and Bordeaux

Dark red almost opaque. Blue fruit and a little funk from the Forrest floor. Still shows big Blue fruit, blueberries, Booberry’s breakfast cereal, cocoa and eucalyptus. Drinking very well now, but with lots of years left to cellar. Very good balance - especially for CdP. Excellent!

Excellentissime ! Buvez-le ! Goulûment ! Enivrez-vous de son fruit puissant, de sa suavité et de son extrémisme maîtrisé. Magnifique. Grenache dans toute sa splendeur qui bouscule tout sur son passage.

Lovely, very smooth, drk ruby in colour, raspberry et usual nose, the body is quite gamey. Very good, will updte if there are significnat changes over the course of the lifetime of one glass.

A deep carnation red. The nose was singing from the moment the cork was pulled, wild red raspberry and garrigue, sun-scorched dry earth, lavender. Sweet yet structured with a tiny point of bitterness that yields to a persistent note of raspberry pastille. Incredible minerality on the endless finish.
Most excellent. Drinking very well now but still a baby... juicy blue and red fruit, dark cocoa powder. Should evolve and improve for another few years.
What a great bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape is all about. Stylish, supple, rich, full bodied, lusty and packed with ripe, sweet, juicy, black raspberries, kirsch, garrigue, cracked black pepper and thyme. This is great now, but it's still just a baby. All that sweet, ripe fruit makes it fun and easy to drink. But it's only going to get better with age.

Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75): Darker core with brighter garnet rim; fresh bright floral nose, red cherry, raspberry, garrigue, sour cranberry, a bit headier leaning towards hammy but I feel this is just the youth, vanilla bean; palate continues with pure raspberry, red berries, purple flowers, slight grip in the back but almost ideal phenolics, no figgy character; pure fruit and goodness built to age gracefully- kind of reminds me of their '01 but better; delicious now but check back in 3-5 years, in 20 this should be brilliant and Burgundian.

Tuesday Night $20-$40 Double Blind (Bin 75): Wow, this is not what I was expecting from a young vintage of this wine, it shows phenomenal balance, sweet but not overripe fruit, pleasant grip, larger alcohol but it doesn't stand out, also good acid keeps this fresh; a complete package that I expect to age gracefully for 20+ years; one of the most exciting young wines to date.
A great wine with layers and dimensions, many characters at this moment, CdP, Rayas, Burgundy, Cote-Rotie, and Languedoc. Firm, dense but beautiful in texture. Delicious with invisible touch in its finished. Well-made wine indeed !!!

Drinking young, but wanted to get a better grip on what this wine is about.... Decanted for 2-3 hours, but still drinking much better on second night (which notes are written from). Kind of a sweet candied dark fruit (blueberries?) mixed with dirt, black pepper, and maybe some green veg. Very round mouthfeel, but some spine coming on as it got more and more air. Blueberries, black pepper, and sage. Very nice bottle and it will be interesting to see how it evolves.

First ever tasting note on CT - and I had to write it simply because this may be one of the best bottles of red wine I have ever tasted. Yes - very young....but this has all the trappings of a future superstar. Bright red fruit, plenty of acidity and smooth, firm tannins. The nose is unreal! I could have let it sit in the glass for hours and watch it develop. If you are a Marcoux fan - do not miss this wine.

95 pts
