Sealed under Diam, this was drinking beautifully last night. It has some lactic, almond butter things going on. There are fresh lemon and tangerine fruits. It has plenty of saline minerality and shows excellent detail in the mouth. The finish is dry and chalky.

375 ml. Pale yellow. Belying the colour, the nose is slightly oxidized and leesy, savoury; I struggle to detect any fruit. The palate is dominated by oak and toast ; it's tired. The finish becomes watery, quickly leaving jsut a sensation of toast. Is this just a bad time for this bottle? It is unimpressive

Lively, energetic, white stonefruits and citrus, subtle oak, nice hint of mealiness, lovely balance, classic flavour profile, puts elegance before weight, very appealing. Excellent Meursault villages. On the terrace at the Hostellerie du Cèdre in Beaune.

A bit warm when poured. Pale color quite light. Nose and palate suprisingly pronounced given the color. Vanilla, lemon and spice on the nose. Rich palate. Flavors carry through from the nose. Bit of cinnamon on the finish. All in all this is a decent wine.

By the glass at the BA lounge and probably opened for 30mins
Good and proper meursault. Light honey colour. The nose is buttery, light vanilla notes and citrus. Fresh and open and continues nicely on the palate with decent weight and structure. Good fruit, green apple, light citrus. Well made and although lacks the complexity and depth of the genevrieres still this makes for good company. A touch less oak would have been preferable. 88-90

The transparent pale yellow color betrays the attractive nose of white stone fruit with an unusual top note of floral aldehyde-like perfume. On the palate, an initial attack of peach is quickly followed by a broad and shallow midsection commensurate with villages-level Burgundy, but the finish lifts with bright acid and chablis-like raciness. No butter and nuts evidencing Meursault typicity, but it offers ample textural satisfaction.

Compact, tight, intense and chock full of citrus fruits with a hint of white peach. With luncheon of Heidi’s Gravlax and the wine seems to relax a little, giving more texturally, but I do love it for its restraint and minerally persistence.

Recognizable meursault and nicely balanced, but too much wood has been put in the bottle and that is a pity.

2010 Bouchard wine dinner organized by Panos (Lavandou, Washington DC): A hint of flint, limestone and white fruits. Refreshing, bright acidity, not too complex.
