Sedcutive open and deep nose, the wine is extremely extracted liquid lava, unbelievable depth and power, kaleidoscopic mixture of dark chocolate, spices, mint, earth and the list goes on, drinking well now probably thanks to the several hours of aeration, a very special otherworldly wine which probably divides opinions, I found this exceptionally attractive and worth the high price tag.

Colour: Dark wine, just a bit ruby on the rims Nose: Not overdone by the oak, blackberry & cherry, espresso, tabacco, a bit of plum pickeld in rum, just a hint of vanilla and some mint chocolate. Palate: A big, ripe boy but super silky & smooth on the palate with a fresh acidity which creates a nice balance. Green notes on the backend. Still young and potential left.

Nose: There is good depth on the nose with rich tones of black fruits, dark red fruits, coffee beans, black cherries, and some spice tones.
Taste: Full bodied with some chewy tannins. There is some oak on the palate, but there is good purity to the tones of black fruits, dark red fruits, black cherries, and some spices.
Overall: This was in a different league from the clio. Whereas the clio was dominated by oak, this had a dark richness, but with more purity on the tones.

Really dark wine with a sliver of ruby at the edge. Surprisingly no noticeable oak on the nose. I was really expecting an oak monster...did they draw that back? Lots of prune and tobacco and a hint of mintiness on the palate; some decent acid with a sour finish. Not a big fan but drinkable unlike past vintages.

Such a baby - shouldn't be opened for years, but I love the little sister Clio so much I couldn't resist. Finish is long, but it is really green. This will be so much less raw in 5+ years.

Wow. Rich, velvety and full. A great cab. Is it worth ~3x the price of the Clio? No, but it will age more gracefully. Would live to taste it again in 5-10 years

Sampler tasting pour. very dense colour . bret nose, red fruit, tannic but approachable, hot alcohol, finish went on and on becoming pruny. More to it than that but I'm lacking the vocabulary. Delicious but another few years will be even better I think.

Dark fruit, bitter chocolate, mint and vanilla aromas on the nose. Beautiful texture in the palate and long herbal finish. This is a blockbuster, a huge ripe and flavourful wine with intensity in both nose and palate.

Drank with only an airator, did not decant. Excellent, full bodied, low tannish, medium fruit, and acidity. Delicious.

Outstanding. Love all these El Nido wines so much. Big, well integrated blend. At least five more years in it.
