It is good to drink a Chardonay without all the oak! There is certainly grapefruit in the nose. There is also nice acidity and a bit of spice to balance it. Nice drinking.

Flat out delicious. The most impressive thing about this wine is the mouthfeel. It coats the palate in an impressive manner, almost like a delicate olive oil. It has notes of peach with good acidity for our seafood. I got several "wows" from the family. Admittedly, I rarely drink Pouilly-Fuisse, but this is the best I have tried in the $20 neighborhood. I wish I had more.

Very nice Pouilly-Fuisse chardonnay with good acidity, lemon peel, green apple, a touch of oak and a bit of earthiness on the nose and back of the mouth. Opens up nicely with a bit of warmth and air.

Served slightly below cellar temperature. Green apple, lemon peel, spice and vanilla on the nose. Apple, citrus and spice lead to a crisp, dry finish. Good acidic balance. Paired with lobster.

Very drinkable. A few nicks lower than P-Y Colin Morey's cheapest wine (St. Aubin Le Banc) but shares some similar notes, especially the smokey, slightly bitter finish with some tropical fruit coming in at first. My 3rd bottle with little variation. Consistent. Would buy more - ive enjoyed Vincent's other whites as well.

Served slightly below cellar temperature. Aromas of pear, green apple, spice, fig, lemon peel and stone. On the palate, melon, fig and apple combine with oaky tannins and lead to a crisp dry finish. Good acidic balance. A very good QPR.

Notes of lemon oil, citrus and salinity. Would have scored higher, but I felt this was lacking minerality and had a touch too much oak to go 90+. Excellent QPR though.

Nice medium/light bodied, balanced, Pouilly-Fuisse that held its own with several bottles around the same $15-$17 price point. Nothing super special when all is said and done, its still a great wine to bring to a party where it might be considered tres chic. And since its pretty bland going down, it will definitely not offend anyone drinking it. Many will in fact like it. I did for what it was.

shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. paired with tilapia oreganata from la bella. this is a nice entry level pouilly fuisse. i think i agree with r.j. pale straw color. i taste mostly apple and lemon. just a hint of mineral and oak. not the most exciting wine. but, no complaints at this price point. i am holding his chateau fuisse which i am looking forward to enjoying a little bit down the road.

Nice chard with delicate citrus blend of pineapple, lemon and hints of green apple and honey. Creamy texture with a hint of oak and moderate acidity. Straw in color and needs to be paired with food.

Somewhat pale but bright straw colour. Attractive yet subtle nose of lemon, grapefruit, honey and oatmeal/cream, with swirling bringing out more vibrancy. Nicely balanced on the palate, though the acidity is firm enough to suggest it's better with food. The profile at this stage though is quite straightforward with little complexity. The finish however is of decent length, so give it a couple of years and see what emerges.

From the famed JJ Vincent who produces Chateau Fuisse, this is an introduction to Pouilly Fuisse and definitely delivers...apple-citrus flavours, subtle oak offering a slight creamy backbone, minerality, and crisp acidity. Beautiful Chardonnay that would be a challenge to find in the new world at this price point, seafoods and fish all day long!

Similar to my previous bottle, but with a bit of butterscotch and more acidity. This was in a very nice place last night.

A bit tight right out of the bottle at this point. Had this before when it was well decanted and it was excellent.
