The nose is just killer, with cranberries, pomegranate, and strawberry. Spicy and red fruit on the palate, I do wish for more weight and texture, but that’s rare in Burgundy. Certainly shows 1er rather than Grand Cru intensity. Hard to complain. No brett on this bottle- thankfully! Tasted after a Barolo, the Rinaldi felt like a black and white picture while the Vosne was a full colour motion picture.

Les Suchots tasting (The Wolf): Spicy but slightly muddled nose with some lift. Juicy palate with sweet route fruit but not a ton of complexity yet. But there is some subtle spice starting to emerge. Feels young but promising. My 4/8

Beautiful nose; Nice; Initially did not fully come together - like three non-parallel/colliding lines; After some time in the glass came together beautifully

Burgundy Thursday--23 juin 2011: from barrel Texture difference from village wine immediately apparent, even on the nose. Much thicker on the palate. Flowery and already soft fruit mixture much more complex. Cassis, light blackberry, dark cherry, light wood. Great extraction without going over the top.

Nice nose but a good amount of bret. Nice acid and fruit holding up. But not as refined as expected
