PnP to go with a turkey and smoked duck barley soup on a spring night that felt more like end of winter. Compared from my previous note ‘13, the fruit is lively and mature, notes of raspberry and tart cherry along with mellow acidity and a green element shows at the end. A true reward of patience to be enjoyed with charcuterie, cheese, or French onion soup.

A lovely Chenas Cru Beaujolais. We decanted for 30 minutes. The flavor profile was filled with berries. The tannins were gentle, and the wine had a wonderful texture!

A really sublime performance and probably at peak. A bright, brush-laden nose of red berries, perfume, lavender, eucalyptus, and hickory. Taut, sinewy palate with brilliantly refreshing acidity and crunchy fruit goodness. Certainly not as bitter as it was in its youth and there's so much delicate energy, I don't know where to begin describing the nuance and complexity.. A fantastic representation of skill (or is it luck?) with Gamay. After a few weeks of big high-octane bruisers, this is a welcome 180 turnaround to renew my AFWE chakra. 4+11+17+8= 90

Very similar to the prior note, maybe a little rounder and riper, but still nice medium weight with tasty dark plum and cherry fruit on the palate. Maybe some brush and leather notes.

Nose with cherry and plum, somewhat austere but it opened up an hour after decanting (recommended). Current, cherry on palate with some earth and mineral and smooth tannins. Ending with a good finish. Almost drinks like a pinot. Well done. Much better experience than my original tasting. Few signs of age, should last quite a while more.

Pretty good structure for a bojo. This was full of acidity and some dry brush like tannins. Nose also had some brush notes along with the red plum and berry fruit. Dry, brush, tart cherry and redcurrant on the palate. Decent finish. Nice medium weight wine - good with some charcuterie.

Notes made after 2 days open. Color is dark magenta, quick legs, no sediment. The nose has a touch of medicinal and chemical elements, but in a good way as they are tertiary notes to the primary bouquet of red berry, mint, and jasmine tea. Smooth body and gentle mouthfeel with very refreshing acidity. Awesome with a spicy pesto chicken sausage pizza. 5+11+16+7= 89

PnP and had a few glasses with pepperoni pizza last night. Fresh, bright, tasty, clean and minerally finish. The tannins are in a great place right now, the wine is well structured for a 3 yr old Gamay. Delicious, drink these up over the next 2 years.

A nice if not electrifying Beauj. Priced right, but not a massive QPR play by any means. (I think the non-cru by Thillardon offers better value, for what that's worth.) Black cherries and earth. Medium acidity. We drank it with beef stew and noodles and it worked swell.

Tasty strawberry fruit, that seems so fresh and crunchy. Complexity is there as well, with wet soil notes, and rocks, coupled with med(+) acidity and a tangy, almost citrus laden med length finish. A very nice Beaujolais that will drink well through 2015.

It has that pretty, medium intensity purple iridescent color at the core, fading to a whacky pale purple at the rim. The nose shows some light rose petal notes, with med intensity strawberry, iodine, minerals, and a bit of volatile acidity (magic marker). The palate shows off a light bodied wine, med in alcohol, with med intensity flavors of strawberry preserves, raspberry, soil and minerals, and even some orange zest, as the wine shows off med(+) acidity, and med intensity tannins that are firm but rounded, giving nice structure and drinkability. This is a very good quality wine, drinking beautifully now, but will likely improve another 1-2 years in bottle and continue drinking well through 2018. But really delicious now, I'll likely drink my other 4 bottles within 2 years. Nice Beaujo.

This delivers everything you could hope for out of a sub-$20 cru bojo, the tart red and black fruits are well balanced with the acidity, it is a juicy and surprisingly lengthy drink. This is open for business and would be a great match for many meals.

Lovely aromas of flowers, red and black cherries, ink, smoke, a little new leather, a hint of cocoa powder, and a whiff of something that reminds me a bit of rotting vegetation (but in a good way). The palate starts with a big wave of puckery tart cherries, then red cherries, minerals, earth, a little citrus rind bitterness, and maybe some black cherries in the back. Acidity as mentioned, tannins come though at the end, decent finish. Really clean and delicious with food, though not very complex at this point. This was great with some simple roast chicken, potatoes, and bread. Should improve in a year or three.

PnP and consumed over a week. Perhaps this was a case of infanticide, wine gave strong fruit profile, acidity was a little harsh and is lacking finesse, however there is something that makes me hopeful about aging other bottles

56F, P&P. Medium dark red. Flowery but not showy nose. Reticent. Light and fresh in the mouth with good acid and some late tannins. Only a hint of berry fruit and mineral. Almost white wine like if I closed my eyes.

Drunk over 3 days actually opened up and was better for keeping . I was about to consign it to the drain after the first glass. Better for breathing.
