The wine is straw in the glass with a nose of pear and white flowers. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with the same pear, green apple, toasty oak, citrus, wet stones and iodine. Medium-length finish without the acidity of better Pinot Gris, which is probably why the flavor profile of the wine veers towards Chard.

Straw colored. Apricot and citrus aromas, with both carrying over to the palate, which was rounded but balanced with acidity and minerality. Very nice with d'Artagnan smoked chicken sausages.

Interesting fermentation process. According to Breggo..."A blend of lots fermented in a 200 gallon concrete egg, 900 gallon French oval, small neutral French oak barrels and stainless steel tank. No malolactic fermentation was permitted."

Tasting in Anderson Valley; Yorkville Cellars, Breggo Cellars, and Roederer Estate (Yorkville and Anderson Valley, CA): Pale lemon-green color with peach, mineral and floral aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, and smooth with great acidity. It shows flavors of peach, apricot, and citrus with a medium-long finish. 14.2%
