While preserved within my wine cellar since 2012 and no signs of cork failure this bottle was spoiled and undrinkable. Disappointing as it was my last 2010 KB bottle in my collection.

Crimson in color. 14.3% ABV. Pretty nose of rich red fruits, cloves, sarsaparilla and forest floor. Silky and plush. Medium body and well balanced with exceptional acidity. Cherry, boysenberry, baking spices and a touch of earth on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Exceptional Pinot Noir. All the accolades are so well deserved. Best over the next 1-2 years.

Ripe and with a rich full mouth feel. This one is for those that like their Pinot Noir extracted and with very little acidity. Several of us thought it drank like a well aged Zinfandel. It was good, just on the extreme end of the spectrum for richness. Expect the lack of acidity had a lot to do with the age of the wine.

I liked it and the wife loved it but it ultimately is a bit over the top for my personal Pinot tastes. The ripeness showed a bit which translated to a tad more alcohol than necessary. A tasty beverage but I think it lacked the feminine grace that I have been seeking lately in Pinot noir.

Drank alongside the 2010 Gap’s Crown. This has a very different flavor profile. Much more red fruit compared to the dark GC. The Keefer Ranch has a more expressive nose but shares the solid structure of the GC and will easily last another 5+ years and probably much longer.

Wine was over the hill. Sweet and not much to give. Last bottle I had of this was corked, and reading people's notes, I thought this bottle would be in a good place. Purchased from winery, and kept in off site storage from beginning. Will drink other KBs in the short term.

Excellent wine, fully mature. Very aromatic with typical varietal character, plums and red fruits. Full, rich flavors, red and black fruits, no significant tannin. No need to age this any longer...enjoy while it's still at its peak. Ric

A typical deep and rich KB from 2010 with distinct cola flavor and more subtle white pepper spice and fennel. A bit more acid would be a nice build to an already very nice single vineyard Pinot.

Friends were over for dinner so we opened this and a 2010 Freeman Keefer Vineyard to compare. This showed better than the Freeman.
Opened not decanted. Citrus on the nose with dark cherry. After about 30 minutes, very light in body, some elevated heat, ends with a wet / dry tangerine citrus finish. Very Good.

Same as previous note last year except that there was no hit of alcohol wafting through the mouth on initial PnP. Very smooth and ready to consume. No decant necessary. Drank over the course of three hours with little change.
Last bottle. Nothing overly earth shattering in terms of complexity, but a nice Pinot to have with dinner. Paired nicely with a deconstructed pork spring roll salad with an Asian spicey sauce and peanuts.

P/w 2 hr decant. Clear, med/dep ruby red/purple. Classic intense KB nose. Confirms the good vintage. Darker fruit profile, very long finish. Cola, black cherry, good window. Nothing off. $85

Another terrific Kosta Browne Pinot...classic cherry cola with strawberry notes and a full 30 second finish with active tannins. Opens up to more complex subtle flavors of cocoa and coffee after a three hour decant. Believe this Pinot will get better over time.

Classic KB notes of cherry cola, rhubarb, ripe strawberry, plum, pomegranate, and baking spices.
There was a slight initial hit of alcohol; after about an hour decant, the alcohol lifted and what remained was a very nice, easy drinking KB Pinot. Ready to drink now with a short decant.

Wow. Drank this along side a 2010 Dumol Russian River. Bioth were excellent however, the KB was so much more complex, with more layers of flavors, enought acid, and a nose that was typical of what KB does. Served with rack of lamb (mustard glaze and panko oven crisped). Decanted each bottle a couple of hours before serving. Doesn't get any better than this.

Delicious! Very pure and luxurious feeling in the mouth. Strawberry and cherry flavors with a bit of spice knitting it all together. Did not decant and the bottle disappeared too quickly to assess long term evolution. Should last for many years to come.

Two hour decant. Very complex, typical Kosta Browne nose, but a bit strong on the alcohol side. Big legs in the glass. Black cherry, some spice, chocolate. Good tannin. High alcohol frankly detracts a bit that dissipated by the last glass. Perhaps more decant time would have improved my opinion.
Medium dark cherry garnet color. Intense plum, cherry, and licorice nose. Medium-bodied with low acidity, low tannins, candied cherry and plums on the palate with a long finish.

Beautiful Multilayered wine on the nose and palate. Could have been a Hermitage Syrah with first glance and sniff-big, bold, and spicy black fruit bouquet that kept on giving. With about 20 Minutes of decanting the pinot fruit characteristics started to come forth with plum, crushed dark cherries. The palate was vast and generous with plum flesh, dark ripe cherry fruit, herbs of wild sage and thyme. It leads to a balanced long finish with a glorious length! Love this wine. Needs 2 more years in bottle.

PnP, served non-blind. Dark garnet core that fades gently to the rim. Powerful nose of plum skin, cherry, sandalwood, baking spice, forest. Medium toward full-bodied, with considerably more lift than I was expecting, but less depth of fruit and structure than I would have preferred. I was fairly bored by the third glass, but remained thankful for the lack of sweetness and over-extraction I'd feared; pretty, for what it is. Very poor QPR at $80, 14,3% abv, thru 2018

The most structure of any KB Keefer I have tried. Decanted for 6 hours and the acid was still there! Better the next day. I expected more fruit and a soft wine but instead got an earthy wine with lots of acid. Should be great in a couple years!
Creamy, lush nose of dark fruits, a hint of cola, and a little guava. The palate has more guava, raspberries, and nice Acid. Needs to settle down and loose some of the fruit but it is a delicious drink.
