Still tasting good !! Composit cork easily removed after an over a decade in the bottle. Vibrant red color with excellent clarity. Consumed over three days. Surprisingly fruit forward blend of 35% Mourvedre, 24% Syrah, 23% Grenache and 18% Petite Sirah aged six months in oak. This wine is a California version of Cotes du Rhone with aromas and flavors of fresh raspberry, bright red cherry, red currant, and pepper. No more bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar.

I have typically liked this wine in most vintages. This bottle did not seem as well integrated with a slightly harsh edge. Gassed and plan to try on day 2 to see if this has softened.

Fruity and fresh. Nose of sweet strawberry, cherry and plum. Tastes like maraschino cherry, black cherry, plum, sage, nutmeg, chocolate and lots of smoke. I don't taste the oak that others mention. In fact, it reminded me of an unoaked grenache. It's very sweet, a touch too acidic and the alcohol taste is glaringly present, but chilling it brings it together nicely, gives it some balance and makes it rather refreshing. It's decent summer patio red, especially for the price.

Black cherry, chocolate covered cherries, blackberry, earth, herbs, smoke, and a little menthol (like a car previously owned by a smoker). Red and black cherries, earth, spice, blackberry, and herbs on the palate. Decent acidity, light but pleasant fruit on the front of the palate, slight "cheap wine" flavor, not much finish. Overall, this was decent, but personally I would prefer to spend a few more bucks to get a better Cline zinfandel.

My wife drank this bottle and rated it an 88; I have previously rated it twice at an 85. It's a "girly" wine, nice and easy to drink without a strong finish.

Blind Tasting - New World Syrah and Red Blends; 1/17/2013-1/23/2013 (Woodley Park - Washington, DC): SRP: $17. Very bright and sweet on the nose, dominated by fresh berry fruit, a whole lot of rose petals and a hint of sage. Clearly new world sweet red fruit, but the other aspects make the nose interesting. Palate: really silky tannins, medium acid and the fruit is plush. The mixed berry fruit is really delicious and fresh, and it finishes with a soft note of toasted oak. It seems like more of a drink-me-now wine than the others, a real crowd-pleaser, but a well-made wine. A blend of mourvèdre, grenache and syrah.

I used to think this was a nice blend, but it's just too light and easy for me. Nothing special. Cline Cellars should come out with a darker blend with Cabs or Zins.

Decent but fairly one-dimensional. Medium bodied. Little complexity. Expected more.

nose: cherry, christmas punch
palate: sweet, fruit compote-y, peppery, with high acidity and very little depth. rustic tannins and long spicy finish not entirely enjoyable
tastes like 10 dollar rhone

Smooth like its name. Soft to medium tannin. A bit of fruit, maybe grape? Best with a simpler meal, and not a high fat meat.

Mixed reviews first out of the bottle... some liked, some didn't... opened up shortly thereafter. Paired well with planked salmon.

Sweet strawberry and cherries, pleasant, lacks structure, drink it now. Prefer Grenacha to a blend.
