Decanted for 2 hours. Didn’t really open up for 3-4 hours. Initial heat that subsided. Didn’t appear to be past its prime, but also didn’t seem to be any reason to keep holding.

Lovely deep red color. Attractive aromas of berry fruit and a touch of cedar. Good fruit, mainly cherry and dark berries, nicely integrated smooth vanilla oak, good finish. Great with flat-iron steak and slow cooked duck.

This Wine is FANTASTIC... A very appealing bouquet with anise and maybe tobacco. A great feel in the mouth, and a long wonderful finish. I would be proud to have a cellar full of this...

Semi translucent dark garnet; nose of mint, herbs, allspice clove and cassis keep this from being vegetal; soft mouthfeel, med+ body, plummy, fruity, and floral; very decent, should be more food friendly than many Cabs.
