A nicely evolved white, displaying florality, ripe apricot and pineapple composte. Medium-bodied with medium to low acidity but overall nicely balanced with a medium+ aftertaste. Fully mature so drink soon.

Light gold, medium (-) body, clean, clear Fresh, some lemon zest, and honey suckle, some spritz Lots of vibrant energy, refreshing, tight, decent acidity Drinking perfectly. Great very cold on a hot day. No food required. This is still one of my favorite summer quaffers. Fond memories of Italy.

Pressed cork. The wine was pale yellow-green in colour, with some CO2, and offered apple, pear, orange and lemon aromas on the nose. On the palate the wine showed lemon, green apple, pear, peach, orange and almond flavours, joined by a touch of residual sugar and some CO2, paired with medium-level acidity and very good length. A medium-bodied, very easy-drinking summer wine that should pair well with grilled fish. Drink now.

The wine was light yellow/green in colour with a tiny bit of fizz. It offered pear, lime, green apple and almond on the nose. On the palate the medium- to light-bodied wine was slightly spritzy and showed pear, apple, apricot, almond and hops, paired with just a touch of residual sugar, medium-level acidity and very good length. A bit boring to me and not on par with the 2010.

To the baker... I am being told. And very yeasty and brioche. And its not quite as fun as Vietti, but yet Giacosa has gone off into the forest. What to do?

Forward and aromatic with citrus blossom, fresh yellow fruit and no oak influence. Vivid on palate with CO2 present to preserve freshness and around 5 g/lt residual sugars for balance. Well made, clean and expressive lacking great complexity.

Had it at La Pentola in Opus hotel (new restaurant from La Quercia chef). Quite stunned by this one with pear, honeydew, grilled almond on the nose. I don't remember the last time I had a white with such a low acidity. Med round body that could support a mushroom risotto.

Clear light gold. Very nice pear and peach nose with a bit of anise. Delicious stone fruit and pear flavours and a great dry refreshing finish. Really good and better then the Giacosa Arneis I had the nigh before.

A really nice Arneis that bursted with fresh citrus and herbs. Palate was dense for an Arneis but held onto nice minerality keeping it fresh and energetic.
