Under screwcap but tasting older than expected. Fully mature ripe yellow fruits, medium. But it has slight oxidative notes suggesting it is quite a lot older than it is. Still drinkable but advanced maturity. I have 5 more so need to try another to check if this is typical or has something to do with the seal on this bottle.

Nose of subtle petrol, slate and sparkling water. Apple, lemon and peach fruit. Never too sweet, but the palate and long finish alternate between acid and sweet. Complex stuff.

I love German Riesling of all sorts but don't drink much of it. After drinking this, I really must rectify this situation. 8% ABV.
Classic Mosel. Subtle nose of petrol and ripe pears; lovely crystalline pear on entry which carries through to a very pure slate character on the midpalate, sufficient apple acidity counterbalances the sweetness, good length. A joy with light Chinese food, vegetables.
Note: this bottle has been sitting in a refrigerator for many years, and was under screwcap, so it is likely to have evolved a lot less than most other bottles.

{screwcap, 8%, AP 15 12} Pale colour; sweet, custard-tinged light stewed apple fruit. Very drinkable, very pleasant. Tastes a bit high yield, or at least dilute; there's not quite enough acid here in my view to keep it from slipping towards the flabby end of the spectrum. Light-bodied, off-dry. Pleasant but not outstanding.

Initial aromas and flavours of lime and petrol, but then powerful, deep peach, red apple, stewed apples, toffee, cinnamon, vanilla, citrus among many flavors. Superb length. Great wine. Not sure how/when it will change. Shouldn't change too much in the next 5 years, but after that? Who knows. Seems to have the depth and power for the long term. Much better at a warmer temperature when the flavours emerge.

Green apple and peach on the nose. Served at 48 F and showed very well at that temperature. Similar flavor profile notes as prior bottle with crisp green apple and peach upfront, backed with lemon and mineral qualities towards the back. The acidity throughout, but especially on the finish was a highpoint and gave the wine good struture to show off the fruit. Started to pick up more richness and softer fruit notes as it warmed. Should last for several years based on the fruit and acidity. However, this was my last bottle, so clearly I couldn't stay away.

Apple, peach and honey on the nose. Very nice richness and depth and especially good acidity. Crunchy green apple, apricot and some peach upfront, backed with lemon, cream and good mineral qualities on the finish. The finish in particular was a highpoint. Based on the fruit and acidity, this wine should easily improve over the next 5+ years and should last at a high level for probably ten. German rieslings time and time again are just outstanding QPR for interesting, long lived wines.

Pale, golden color. Clean. Nose of crisp, clean apple and honey. Beautifully aromatic. Off dry/almost medium sweetness, light bodied. Flavors of green apple, lemon, white peach and mango. Absolutely delicious. Im not a huge white wine fan, nor a riesling fan before i tried this. Germans know their riesling. Long, fruity finish. Very good quality and highly recommended.

{screwcap, 8%} Plenty of sugary sweetness, but balanced by spritzy acid. The flavours are mostly green apples; if the wine has a drawback it's its sheer simplicity or lack of complexity; but it's still otherwise well-balanced on the whole. Might keep a while still. Not much evolution in the last 12 months, from what I read.

{screwcap, 8%, AP 006 12} Nearly colourless. Mild nose of gentle apricots and just a touch of green apple. Light-bodied palate has soft tropical fruit flavours, and a spritzy freshness, despite the acid not being terribly overt or assertive. Lilting, barely off-dry sweetness. Short/medium length finish. Very drinkable now. Pleasant short-term wine.

Can't go wrong with a drop like this for $18. 8% OH means that it is almost good for you. A touch of RS, a little delicate bubbles on pouring and a light mouth-feel and you have a German Riesling for now or the next 5 years.

Medium depth yellow. More yellow peach and other stone fruit than any other wine in the flight. Delicious juice with purity, medium acidity and a lively, slatey finish.

A pale straw colored wine with enticing aromas of peach, apricots, lime, kerosine, floral notes, and crushed slate. Rich flavors that do not sacrifice its light body character, it reveals apricots, pear, mango, orange rind, white pepper, crushed stones with some spritzy texture. A complex yet easy to drink mid bodied wine, delicate and pure decadence.

Lemon-lime, fresh apple on the nose with mineral and candied flower petal nuances. Juicy and fresh, medium-sweet on the palate; light and artfully poised with a fresh fruit finish. 4/5

No formal notes, aromas and taste more like a feinherb than a spatlese, very light and sprightly. Fresh piercing acidity, a bit light on intensity, perhaps shutting down already? I rarely drink rieslings this young, so am a bit at a loss for adequate descriptors. 8%abv Hold, definitely for 10 years.

Wonderful. A bit of spritz on opening. Ripe sweet peach and crisp pear. Mineral backbone. Citrus and acid begin to show through after bottle open a couple of hours.

Perhaps there is a little too much sugar for the acidity which pushes the wine out of balance and onto the borders of the 'flabby' area. There is also some intrusive spritziness in the mouth. But it was cheap as chips and these are minor quibbles on an otherwise sound quaffing wine.

Good bright fruit on the nose with green apple and a little touch of spice. Quite sweet on the palate, it has decent length but a touch more acidity would be great. Good value at $14 and I do think it should age well, I have one more bottle and I'll give it 6-7 years before revisiting.

Rousseau, Pichon Baron and a few others at Bacon Fest 2012. (The Jaouen's.): Just hitting the market and showing youthful spritziness. Ebuillent and bursting with passion fruit, tangerine and stone fruit flavors and aromas. Pretty fruit forward at the moment with the minerality covered up a bit by the sugar. Good weight to it, though it could use a touch more cut. Some nice potential here, but it's in its fun "drink, don't think" phase right now. Low A-.
