Pale yellow color with a green tint. Complex nose of pine, green apple and citrus. Interesting on the palate with notes of green apple, citrus, salt and honey. Good depth and complexity, unique wine. Pronounced minerality, liquid stone. I have good idea of where this wine is going, but it’s becoming increasingly interesting and complex.

Lovely on a summer night with favas, courgettes, etc. Still fresh, touch soft and broader on finish, but still elegant, mineral, touch of bitter. Drink now. Always a special wine.

Much better than the bottle I brought to the Gonon tasting almost two years ago, this is much younger in its appearance. A nose of green apple, pineapple and stones. Semi fat texture, full fruit, spicy and mineral. I think this is still hiding, there is more to come. This is now more like a classic Northen Rhône. Wait.

The great Gonon! Overcome by a grape? Strikes me as similar to the other chasselas I've had - low acid, a little sweetness, good minerality, soft and round but not quite flabby.

Not a particularly good bottle. No distinct flaws necessarily but nothing going on either. A bit floral, maybe just a hint of apple but no structure. Drink what you have left now.

Based on sampling 2 days later, changed my rating upward -- My first notes were when the wine was too warm. 1. (warm notes) Not like Swiss Chasselas at all, heavier, perhaps too ripe for the grape. Odd nose -- not oak but not pleasant fruit. clumsy. 2. (fridge temp) Much better, not oxidized at all after two days. Fresh and nice with fish. Not great QPR at $20+ but a decent white.

Notes of golden apple, some just-ripe peach and a hint of white pepper on the nose. The palate shows generic apple/pear, just a little white peach and an almond finish. Very low acid, a slightly oily texture and a short finish.

Very calm, pure wine. Really comes to life with food, particularly good with jasmin rice with mint and lemon zest, and some copper river sockeye with tarragon. Low acid, low alcohol, interesting flavors, I liked this.

I really enjoyed the nose which somehow reminded me some of the sauvignon blanc from Courtois: honey, aromatic herbs, a lot of pear and spices, touch of apricot and a pot-pourri/perfumy aspect. On the other hand, I did not like the palate at all: wax, rich and flabby, boring, lacking energy. Almonds, melon and an unpleasant bitterness (like chewing the green almond skin). Strange.

From Trollat's plot as I understand it, ie 80 year old vines. Rich, expressive nose of white fruits and flowers. There is some citrus notes underneath. Lovely, refreshing yet rich palate of tropical fruits, green fruits, gummy bears, still tucked in. A wine that needs food to accompany it. Truly unique, as usual, for Gonon. Happy to own a few bottles.

Full yellow/green color. Assertive nose with glue and green tones-I don't mean this in an unpleasant way! Medium weight, full of soil and some minty notes at the back end. This does have some character, but the fruit doesn't exactly sing. I have a tough time figuring out Chasselas.

An Evening of Californian Syrah (Keith's House): Nose of banana peels, pears, lemons, and vanilla. The palate was oily and had great texture to it. Some oily wines can get a bit gummy, but this had some nice acidity...an edgy wine that I enjoyed a lot.

Very interesting wine, good aromatic nose. First glass was a touch clunky but with air the palate became seamless, like drinking water in the best way. Remains flavorful even with the gossamer body. Old vine magic here. Good match with scallops and pasta carbonara.

Great Gonon Tasting (Frederiksberg): Fun to taste this, but I cannot say, that I am convinced; mineral, refreshing, but also a bit short and simple.

There is no there there. Unexciting, uneventful. I was hoping the other CT notes on this wine were wrong. They weren't.

Disappointing. Innocuous. Tastes like a base, blending wine.
