Last bottle. Very very good. Clearly Chardonnay but utterly unique style. My husband said “smells like high quality Carnauba cabinetry wax” which was really a perfect description. Lovely fragrance. Faint almond as well. Still lively and young.

Singing! I'm in the 91+ crowd. Very showy wine on all counts: nose, acid, body, richness, finish as mentioned in other recent notes. Had it with pasta and cream sauce...a perfect recommendation. Also great with whole red snapper. Find, drink now, repeat.

Still going strong. Very Jura Chardonnay style. Bright but with a bit of almond along with citrus and a creamy center. Not oxidative, just different. Very good with cream sauce chicken. Will last.

Tasted blind. Apricot, beeswax, viscous. Slightly darker in color. Hints of oxidation. Guessed Rhone blend of Marsanne/Rousanne. Wrong. High acidity should have given it away here. High toned lemon flavors. A deft hand as the touch of oxidation makes this a unique wine but doesnt lose its freshness. Fun to try.

Pretty big and boisterous but with enough acidity to balance out the fleshiness. A bit of stemmy green-ness comes in after it has been open for a while...maybe best to sit on this and see if it integrates into something more interesting as it is relatively boring right now - a word I never thought I'd use to describe a Ganevat wine.

Smells like white Burgundy to me. Floral. Almonds. Some butter. Shows some sweetness upfront. Thicker than I expected, but delicious. Good backbone of lean acid and structure. Drinking pretty well, but could go a bit more.

Leaner style, flavors of almond, durian (but not stinky), citrus. Very unusual and very good. I loved it, but it needs time still. Young, but has the stuffing to last a bit. Not fat or oaky at all.

My first Jura white. I thought I was going to get a really lean styled Chardonnay compared to a white burgundy and I didn't. It's actually has a lot of sweetness. It does have a lot of mineral and structure but at this time the sweetness is a bit overbalancing, which many white burgundies can handle as they must have some complexities to mingle the sweetness that this doesn't have.
Maybe in 5 years this may be a completely different wine but right now even though it has a lot to like I can't put it higher than a 88.

Intense, palate staining with a mix of both citrus and stone fruit. I wouldn't call this ethereal or elegant. Intruiging stuff with some judicious wood spice notes. Fun to try,but at $50, don't need to own a lot of this.

(at Mas (Farmhouse) – NYC) I continue to enjoy the wines from Ganevat. Fine intensity with a balance between the fruit and the flor. The palate impression remains for almost a minute. I am going to try the next bottle from this producer with cheese – just might be a winner. (91)

Still going strong, and drinking well now. Not sure if this will get any better. For my palate a little more acidity would be great.

Drinking really well. Lovely Burgundian style. Although very enjoyable now, it will hold up pretty well another 7-10 yrs.

This bottle drank exceptionally well--Chardonnay shines through. Definitely not California raised. Worth seeking out.

Opened up to huge maple nose, after a quick decant this was very good. Weighted but not heavy or oily, big citrus, almonds, spice. Long finish.

Slightly more together and sharp than the last bottle. Great great focus and high drinking factor! Ganevat is just the best! ANYWHERE!
