This is really good for its level. Elegant red fruit, perfume, quite high acidity and reasonably complex. A very pure and clean Bourgogne with a very good balance.

Barda & Haisma (Picture, London): Light, bright, vibrant. Serious but fun. In a good place at the moment. Certainly a little more expansive from the off than the 12, though ultimately that is the better wine. ***1/2

Was cracking with a barbecue. This wine is a rarity, an inexpensive GOOD Bourgogne red. Excellent acidity and lots of fruit. Great afternoon in the sun wine

I love marks wines as they offer fantastic value. Typically tart for this vintage this still shows good red fruits with lovely integrated oak, cocoa powder, sweat and vanilla notes. Sharp acidity and tight tannins give a grippy finish that may be a bit unbalanced. Still this is very pleasurable for drinking in the short term. Very Good Quality. 87 pts Drink now - 2016

Have been itching to try a bottle since taking delivery of a mixed dozen of Mark's 2011 wines and finally succumbed. Glad I did....fabulous early drinking clean and fresh Bourgogne....bright raspberries and red cherries on the nose, zippy acidity lifts the palate. Great QPR.....going to struggle not to open some other better bottles far too early at this rate.

Tank sample. Fruit from Gevrey and Chambolle. Straightforward red berry nose, but really goes up a level on the palate. Lovely purity of fruit and zippy acidity. Feels a little floral on the entry but gains power through the mid palate. Touch of toast on the finish. Excellent for a Bourgogne.

Mark Haisma Tasting (Magdalen Restaurant, London) (Magdalen, Tooley Street, London SE1): The tannins have smoothed out a little (or perhaps there's less CO2) since I last tasted this; less raspy. The alcohol seems a little marked though.

Moderate red, slightly shy nose but with a good balanced structure - sufficient body and tannins - good value.

Mark Haisma 2011 En Primeur Tasting - Vinoteca, February 2013: Lifted, red cherry aromas. Predominantly cherry on the palate too. Quite a bit of tannin just now and also quite dense and concentrated for a Bourgogne. Very promising. Mid-2014+
