Delightful nose of red and dark cherry and tobacco. The palate has notes of sous bois, mushrooms, earth and bright red fruit. Great acidity and length. Well balanced.

Medium/dark red color with moderate transparency throughout. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, and a floral note lead into a fresh palate that showcases strawberry, cherry, a bit of vanilla, green peppercorn, and some black cherry notes. Finish is medium. Leftovers more lean on day two. This flirts with 2011 vintage greenness, but stays on the right side of it for my tastes. Drink or hold.

Dark red fruit, mineral and a kiss of stem/earth on the nose and plate. Beautifully balanced fruit and acidity. An elegant wine that begs you to drink more. Highly recommended. Drink now.

Consistent showing with previous bottle. This is a lovely 2011 which although showing at times slight astringent / bitter notes in the vein of the vintage this is very much only in the background. In general this wine comes across as having nice amount of ripeness, it retains a wonderful freshness, a giving fruit and chalky mineral characteristic. A lovely Vosne 1er and in my view in the context to Burgundy (and Vosne in particular) great value. The 2011 at the moment is on a par with the great 2009. I think the 2011 is a now wine. So I have been and will be pulling corked unashamedly here.

(no decant) There is only a tiny hint of greenness / gravel / ground beans on the nose giving away that this a less ripe year, otherwise lovely and meaty, mineral with hints of clove. On the palate it is kinky sweet confectionery cherry, lip smacking, medium bodied with low to mid acidity. You can't help reach for the next sip. This is certainly a very good wine and quite good qpr. Difficult to say this will get better. Probably at its young peak and with potential to go a bit mellower / deeper but not necessarily better. There is though absolutely no hurry. If you like young luscious fruit then hit it now. Else wait another 2-5 years. Drink now-2030.

A light-to-mid weight body with nice freshness and lift. Moderate depth and complexity with cherry fruit that is complimented by some herbal tones and Vosne spice. Medium finish. Solid, but likely never going to be great. Should hold for several years.

Closed on the nose - impression of dark chocolate and seductive morello cherry, the full dark berry spectrum. Exotic even; Really impressive fruit, very rich and deep, spreads out across the palate. Expansive, wave after wave. Very complete and full. Serious, intense finish. Very long and vibrant. 92-95+

Nose of dark berries and spice. Body is light. Somewhat lacking in complexity and interest. Coming across as thin and one dimensional. Decent finish.
