  • My last bottle of this wine. Has a little fizz on the palate. Bright red fruits and med+ acidity make this wine bright and crisp...a bit of a surprise for some folks. But nice nonetheless. Scored 86.
24 hours later...aromas of bright red cherry mixed with deep plum and pomegranate, slathered over dirt and rocks. The palate shows a med bodied wine, with a resinous quality or red fruit and a sneaky spiciness. Wet soil notes and mineralogy are certainly present, as well as a mushroomy quality that is the only slight negative. Tannins are light, acidity is med+, making this a lively and fresh tasting wine. The finish is med-, but very nice wine overall. Very good quality, I would drink these up by the end of 2015 for sure...why wait, they are deliciously quaffable now. Scored 88.

  • Med- ruby in color.
Nose is crisp red and crunchy fruit, with wet gravel and a hint of spice.
Palate shows bright red raspberry, tart cherry, red currant, and menthol along with wet soil notes. Nice med+ acidity, super food-friendly, but you have to be ready for the acid and the try red fruit...this is a wine not for everybody. med finish with red crisp fruits and spice.
Drink now through 2014, maybe 2015. Delicious and quaffable.

  • Nice underripe strawberry on the nose which is complemented by a steely granite structure. Starts to fade on the third day but is still interesting

  • See previous TN. Wife did not like this wine, too earthy, barnyardy, mad "natural" for her. It is a head scratcher, but the soil-driven and barnyard notes to add to the complexity, and the acidity is med(+), making this wine food friendly and pretty tasty in my book. Easy drinking, supple med tannins, drink now through 2014 or so.

  • 56F, P&P. Light red. Pleasing interesting nose with some strawberry, leather, spice. Light on the palate with minimal tannins but good acidity and red berry, earth, spice on the palate. Medium finish. Very nice and inviting. Seems almost like a nice cru Beaujolais or an average Burgundian premier cr. Interesting from the blend of grapes used - bet would be hard to place blind! Well worth the price. Perfect with light soup at lunch.

  • Excellent with food. Has a touch of gentiane on the palate that, combined with some acidity and minerality, pleases and creates interest.

  • Opened 2 days ago, been sipping a few glasses each night. Today is the TN.
The wine appears clear, with a med purple core, fading to a med ruby rim, holding quite a bit of color, with med viscosity.
The nose is clean, quite youthful, with med intensity aromas of fresh crushed raspberries poured over newly pulverized rocks, with some notes of blueberry, a little spice, coffee grounds, violets, and bubble gum.
The palate is dry, light in body and med(-) in alcohol, showing off med intensity flavors of red crunchy raspberries and some blueberry fruit, as well as licorice, pomegranite, and a citrus-like zestiness. The acidity is med(+), making this wine oh so refreshing, and the tannins are already light intensity and smooth on the palate. The finish is med in length, vibrant and crunchy red fruited.
This is a very good quality wine from a very good producer. Drinking well already, but not really intended for extended bottle aging. Drink now through 2014.

  • Really nice light wine, serve cool to lightly chilled - for me, I pull from the cellar and put in ice bucket for 4-5 minutes, and it's perfect. This is juicy yet chewy, light but not an afterthought, etc. Not going to bowl you over with complexity, but an excellent wine with pizza or a picnic.

  • No detailed notes. Medium bodied. Nice luncheon wine. Summary perception is that it performs similarly to prior vintages. A nice comfort wine that's very adaptable to a variety of food pairings.
