Unscrew & pour. A lovely Oregon Pinot which emphasizes purity over flash. Wonderfully balanced with some tart high toned fruit & a good acid/tannic structure. Medium bodied with some grip & a bit of tension. A bit singular with the red fruit.
Straightforward new world Pinot Noir which is easy to drink & has enough acidity to pair with a variety of food.

Nice transparent burgundy colour. Nose of ripe red fruits, including raspberry, cherry, and strawberry, with underlying notes of cola. Strong acidity masks the fruit a bit on the palate with supple tannins and light body. Cherry cola flavours, with some light oak spice on the mid-palate. Overall, a nice Oregon Pinot, but a bit unbalanced with acid dominating the fruit.

Medium garnet in color, this wine revealed tart cranberry, blackberry, smoke and forest floor on the nose. The mouth feel was light bodied with tart cherry pit and subtle oak influence. The finish was medium in length with more dark red fruit and smoke undertones.
Purchased for $56US on a restaurant wine list while on vacation in Marathon, FL, this was a very pleasant Oregon PN that paired well with everyone's fish and pasta entrees.

Nice Pinot with an acidic finish. To me the finish was almost like black pepper and interesting. This is a short-term drinker. Went very well with a salmon dish.

Chehalem Mountains AVA Tasting and After Party Wines (Sunfish Cellars, St. Paul, MN): Medium dark red color. Tasting pour over 15 minutes. A nice showing for this wine. Lost of vanilla, cherry, ripe fruit, currants. The palate is more spicy with some wood, good acid, cherry, dry earthy forest floor, vanilla, cherry vanilla cola. 90+pts.

Sour cherry, raspberries, minerals on the nose. Refreshing acidity and medium+ tannins. Medium finish. Started off decent after opening the bottle, but didn't improve as much as I hoped over the next two hours.

spicy earth, present minerals, very attractive acidity - verges on refreshing, and for me therefore a good food wine. Cheaper than entry level Burgundy. Becoming clear and red berry fruited in 5th hour, with is that cigar?

Medium ruby, fresh and structured, this Pinot (a blend from three estate vineyards) offers appealing red berry, rose petal, coriander and brier aromas. Light-to-medium-bodied on the palate, it follows with similar flavors as for the nose. The medium-weight tannins are dusty, while the alcohol (listed as 12.7%) is tightly integrated. Solid in the middle, the wine concludes lengthy but tart and with substantial tannic grip. This wine is more Burgundian than "new world" in the sense that it is less ripe, more acidic, more rigidly tannic and lower in alcohol. Is this good or bad??? One man's trash is another man's treasure. I credit Chehalem for producing an interesting wine in a vintage where the grapes obviously struggled to ripen. Give this one a couple of years in the cellar. Drink 2016-2021.

See through dull garnet with light rim; sweet confected sour cherry, brulee, plum; attacks the palate with strong acid and sour red and dark fruit, very sour finish with griottes cherry, sour plum; ok.

Bright fruit - cherry, that is a little tart and lively. Almost a citrus tartness to taste. Tart cherry followed by wood and vanilla. Short to medium finish.

Great fruity Pinot nose out of the bottle. Needed some time to open but did so nicely. Good value under $30.
