P: Med body; RNDISH, ALMOST stish frt firmed by an astringency which slowly evolves into a LONG finish with a bitter/swtness to the very, VERY fine tannins. An interesting, but not particularly varietal style for now & into '20, I'd guess. My VG/VG+; 91 pts WE (8/1/13) @ $35, 90 WA, + other scores & medals on wine-searcher's Tasting Notes pg. [As of late Feb '20, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $26.99].

Much better bottle than my last bottle. Same general notes but this bottle actually makes me think I may have had a bottle with some level of a poor cork because this had such a nice flavor profile. My original thought was that on my first bottle was that it was the 2011 vintage overall. My last bottle and I truly enjoyed it.

Dark ruby red with a muted nose but a really pleasant bottle overall. 2011 was rough overall and has produced wines that are ready to drink early so decided to open this one. On the palate, a nice overtone of strawberry, cola, oak, and just a hint of vanilla. Good bottle. I will drink my last one sometime in 2016.

Dark rub red with aromas and flavors of ripe cherries with some black pepper on the finish....medium, rich flavors, a little acidic. ...clean medium finish.

Excellent, enticing blood red. Great legs. Ripe nose of cherries and cola is classic for California pinot. Rich, grippy, ripe mouthful. Good cherry fruit. Young buck, fat but not flabby, tasty. Hedonistic if not terribly complex. A total joy to drink if you like the style, and I do. Open for a day before rating. It was worth the wait. 4-12-15-8: 89/100.

This is the second of two bottles of wine from Landmark that has shaken my faith in this winery a bit. Solid dark cranberry color is a good start, as is the fragrant cherry Coke, forest floor nose. But it is a bit lacking in the mouth. The plump, ripe fruit is good, but it finishes short and hollow. This wine is already fadiing. Did the winemaker change in the past few years? 4-12-15-7: 88/100.

Wonderful mix of bright red fruits, spice, and earthy flavors all underscored with high acidity and low tannin. Ready to drink. Strong finish. Great QPR.

No notes but fully aromatic, light-to-medium bodied and potent. Lots of berry, creamy middle and earthy/vegetal elements. Went down well at our dinner party. See more of my notes here: http://pavineco.com/landmark-vineyards-grand-detour-pinot-noir-2011/

Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of grapefruit, berries, cherries and spice. Flavors of berries, raspberries and cherries. Bright acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink over the short to medium term, let's say 2-5 years.

Light bodied but showing a lot of flavor none the less. Brought to a holiday dinner so I didn't get a lot of time to focus on the wine but still enjoyed it. I look forward to trying the next bottle. Certainly another excellent buy from Last Bottle.

Medium red, clear. Giant nose of cherry candy, strawberry, vanilla, smoke. Medium high acidity, low tannins. Lots of cherry cola, anise, vanilla, baking spice. Long finish. This has none of the Sonoma Coast tipicity. It's overwrought and graceless. There is too much going on, and it lacks balance.

Lighter side of medium bodied. Aromatic nose of spicy cherry, raspberry, and strawberry with some bacon fat in the background. Nice and flavorful. Great finish.

Very full of charcoal and granite flavor. Probably should have let it breathe for more than 30 minutes as it was missing smoothness.

A lovely, lovely wine and graet value. I paid 20 per bottle a few years back.
Definitely drinking now like the 40 bottle that wine.com thinks it is!

Red fruit nose. Juicy red fruit in the mouth, with some earthiness and mineraility. Nice acidity, fairly balanced for CA pinot.
