Strange start. Took hours before this wasn't such a lean and acidic, almost Chablis like flavor. Next day was more mellow, well rounded. Nice effort and struck a good balance. Very unlike many wines from the area.

Added some weight and honey since my last bottle a year ago. Feels like it's at the edge of a plateau leading to the downslope. Could have used some more acidity to offset the additional honeyed notes. However, it hung in there over the course of the meal though somewhat quickly lost verve as it opened up. Don't see it improving from here and I'd drink up soonish...

Nose of almond paste, tart lemon citrus, mineral, herbal tones, & a hint of butterscotch. Palate rish w/ ripe pit fruit which turns juicy w/ brisk acidity. Finish is fresh w/ ripe apple, hints of minerality, & citrus. Finish fades slowly.
Very forgettable bottle. Not much on the nose, even after it warmed up. Some citrus on the palate and maybe some faint white florals with a clean finish. Would have preferred a $20 Chablis.

I think Eric Guido sums it up much better than I could. Love how crisp it is but there is just enough mouthfeel and weight to it to really take it to another level. Dan's such a stud...

Liquid Farm / Chard Double Blind- Dallas (Classic Wine Storage- Dallas): Wine #5 in a line up of 15 blind chards (preceded by TOR Durell 2012, which was flawed). Very generic chardonnay nose and similar palate with a lot of tart apple flavors. Consistent medium length finish. Medium acidity and very little oak evident. 87-88

Liquid Farm 4/4 Chardonnay Shootout (Lucio's BYOB, Houston): Tasted blind. Compared to the four that preceded it, this came across as more generic. Nice enough nose of green apple and pear with hints of oak. On the palate, Granny Smith apple, ripe pear and hints of oak. Medium finish. #5

The nose showed almond paste, tart lemony citrus notes, minerals, herbal tones and the slightest hint of butterscotch. On the palate, it was rich with layers of ripe fruit pit fruit, which quickly turned juicy by brisk acidity. The finish was fresh with ripe apple fruit, hints of minerals and citrus tones slowly fading from the palate. This wine has come a long way since release and is balancing out nicely.

Day bright and transparent. White peach, underripe pear, and a touch of white grapefruit alongside a very present minerality - chalk, wet limestone, and river stones. On the palate, stone fruit, lemon curd and minerality shine through. Good wine. Blinded and mistook this for a Chablis.

Didn't take long to open the 2nd bottle as wanted to share it with some friends who had not tried it before... Really good stuff and enjoyed by the pool with the cheese plate, etc... before dinner.

Italian-Ish Wine Dinner @ Red Hen (Washington, DC): Nose shows white peach, flowers, all sorts of minerals. Creamy but packed with minerals on the palate. The white peach, orange peel and green pear flavors are complex and full of wax and mineral notes. Delicious stuff. Wow. I tasted this alongside the 2010 Miani Chardonnay from Collio (which this producer names as an inspiration) and this was just a hair behind it in quality. A delicious and nervy Napa Valley Chardonnay that falls into a category of its own.

Light straw in color which gave a hint to the fact that this is a lighter on its feet type of Chardonnay. Nose was full of white stone fruits such as peach and nectarine. Very crisp and bright in the mouth with a very nice balance. Finsih is not overly complex but such a great wine paired with some Gouda to snack on and then a Fish Fajita with Tilapia and a salsa full of tomato, lime juice, jalapeno, garlic. The two played off each other very well and the bottle went really quick. This wasn't a really deep/thoughtful Chardonnay but boy was it good!

The nose showed tart citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon pith, minerals and green grass with herbal tones and the slightest hint of rich butterscotch lingering in the background. On the palate, it started out rich with layers of ripe fruit yet turned tart and wirery with a bitter citrus pith pull at the cheeks. Ripe apple with a spritz of lemon filled the senses with brisk acidity making the mouth water, while drying it out all at the same time.
