Just the generic bottling, but the first 2012 tasted in the past 18 months that showed any fruit (2012 Cotats not yet tried). In this case, TANGERINE (or so it screamed to me). Will never be special, but better than the other 2012s of which I have too many. Presently a too-late-for-Delaporte, too-early-for-Cotat vintage.

Une belle fraîcheur sur la nectarine, le pamplemousse et le citron, une pointe de fleur blanche , de miel, de beurre et de vanille. Léger manque de précision dans la trame aromatique mais la pureté est séduisante.

Peaking and on the edge of a downward slide. Still rather acidic and austere as I would expect and like but it is coming off as a bit thin and the fruit is beginning to dampen.

Paille claire. Nez plutôt discret au départ sur des notes végétales(herbes fraiches) et un peu d'agrumes. En bouche, souple en attaque avec bonne présence d'acidité en mis et fin de bouches. Bien.

Clean and crisp taste with more fruitiness than grassiness. Included this in a church fundraiser wine-tasting and it was one of the most popular of ten wines. I enjoyed it with Chevre cheese and mussels in a garlic broth.

Smells more like Cotat than I remember - meaning limestone, grapefruit, but lots of wet stone and more openingly expressive than I remember. Works it out.

Or clair.

Organic. The kids just took over and are creating a lot of unique cuvees. This is their entry Sancerre.
A touch more pink grapefruit than much of Sancerre with a little pithi-ness. Really tasty. This'll appeal to more than the regular Sancerre drinker and hopefully get some more people to jump over from NZ.
Whoa, but the price might be prohibitive. That's ok, the people who get it'll love it.

Served chilled to accompany steamed mussels. Popped and poured. Pale gold hue. Nose of citrus juice, mown grass, schist, sea air. Sharp and acidic on the tongue with layers of grapefruit and a bit of apple core, complicated by a soothing flash of honeydew melon. Tensile spine of white rock counterbalancing driving acidity. Longer finish of fresh lime, grapefruit, and stone, quite mouth-watering. Very young and impressive, this should improve and integrate with time in bottle.

Millesime Bio Fair - Day 1 (Montpellier, France): Clean and fresh on the nose, with lemons, oyster shells and limestone. Crisp, nervy on the palate with tons of minerals and electric acid. Good length and depth. Yet there's some roundness from the grapefruit and lemon fruit. For a "basic" wine, impressive.

First experience with Sancerre, quite a pleasant encounter. Soft, creamy nose, containing floral wood, citrus, spring fruits and hint of earthy mineral. Light mouthfeel with refreshing acidity, green apple, vanilla and oak. Went very well with toast with black truffle paste and mixed green salad.

Textbook Sancerre. Even though 2011 was not the best of years this wine is excellent. The balance between roundness, acidity and minerality is just perfect. A wine to enjoy. Great "standard" Sancerre from this producer.
Pale straw with lovely floral notes, pear, grass clippings. The palate is fantastic. Balanced with rich flavors, citrus notes, and a harmonious finish. This is as good as Sancerre gets.

In a wine tasting with friends 88 points by me 6 others average score 90 points, but it was over shadowed by the magnificent Les Romains also by Vacheron,

It's gooseberry and fresh but a little too biting on the acidity, which makes me think it's too young. It's still lovely all the same. 87 points with 6 months in tye bottle it has time to quieten down and be great. I have ordered 6 of the Les Romains, which is another step up.

Fresh and dry, as a Sancerre should be.
Minerals and sour yellow grapefruit, lemon and stones.
Good finish, if a bit simple.
Refreshing and lively.
