Still drinks fine at what is perhaps its last good years. This is not a particularly large Barossa (which suits me). More medium bodied, fruits still clear and present, well balanced but a little too savory for my preference. All around a decent enough drop and good value at the price.

Very nice wine, perfect example of a barossa shiraz and definitely right in the drinking zone. Very solid blackberry tones. Exceptionally good value wine.

More sweet and forward than I remember the previous bottle. Better after a couple of nights in the fridge, recorked. Licorice, lots of oak, oven roasted beets, bitter chocolate. Still fresh.

Great stuff, see previous note. A bit closed at first, will see how it develops. (90) Day two and three. The magic is on. It beats the heck out of all Syrah in same price class in Sweden. My oh my.

Wow, properly chilled, on the second day, this was just a fantastic wine with brilliant aromas of blackberries, smoked meat, blueberries, lingonberry freshness, cherry like flesh, some sandalwood and good balance overall. Great value at that!

A private lunch (Restaurant Gymkhana *, London, UK): Silky and harmonious, lovely spicy warmth, ripe fruit but no surmaturité, juicy, relatively soft but with lovely mineral freshness, light weight, lovely balance and length.

The are some great wines coming out of Teusner and this is no exception. This wine is rich, a really strong body and color which gives it the Barossa feel that you would expect. The intensity of the aromas are excellent but flavors were a little to oaky for our liking. Solid tannin coupled with a quality finish. Best drinking to 2025.

- Brick color - Simply awesome. Beautiful northern Barossa expression at its finest. A much more luxurious and complete wine than many other premium level/priced competitors. Rich, full bodied, boasting blackcurrant and spice balanced in harmony with perfect oak control and less than $20. A perfect example of why the Barossa is the king of affordable world class shiraz.

Smells of ripe fresh fruit, milk chocolate and a bit of cherry blossom. The palate is plummy with blackberry and some spicy fruit. Touch of cinnamon. Thick and flavourful on the finish.

Dark luscious looking crimson colour. Strong fruit nose in the style of The Riebke. Lovely soft reserved fruit with a firm dry finish. I prefer this to the 2011. I have always opened this wine relatively young because it has been such a reliable moderately price wine. Maybe I should put a few of this vintage down for a few years to see how it may develop.

- Brick color - Sensational drop. A hit above the 2011 release, with spiced chocolate, stone fruit plum and raspberry notes. The tannins vibrant and dominant, yet the balance is medium and the potential great. This baby needs a good 6-8+ years to develop and may even go the distance well beyond.

Dark purple. Floral. These 2012 Barossa's seem to have a unique floral quality this vintage. Red and dark fruits, along with a good dose of chocolate. Hints of spice. Good stuff.

Very ripe, sweet almost floral aromas. Velvety palate, full of pure black fruits and a floral character. Very primary, feels like it needs more time.

Very drinkable. Pretty, floral aromatics. Good juicy fruit with bright acid. Definitely would improve with mid-term cellaring.
