Interesting wine. Melon with floral flavors. A touch of grapefruit (maybe) on the finish. High acidity but an interesting texture. Reminded me of an Alsace wine in some respects. Drank with a salad of fennel, Apple and manchego with a sherry vinegar dressing and it really went well.

It is Pinot Gris, but what made it stand out a bit more was fermenting this wine on lees, which added a wonderful textural experience with a bit of a zip.

Great notes of green apple with a hint of honeysuckle. Luxurious, velvety mouth feel and a short clean finish. Excellent with veggies and summer meals.

Back in the Willamette; 2/15/2015-2/20/2015 (Willamette Valley): Again part of a wedding tasting at Zenith vineyards. I liked this quite a bit, but hard to justify the additional price. Get a lot of honeydew on the initial taste here. It's a drier wine (interesting because when we had it last summer I got more sweetness to it), good balancing acidity. Also would work well paired with some seafood.

Pleasant but bland. This bottle lacked focus and attack.
I don't know what went wrong. On the one hand 2012 was a great year but maybe too hot for this vineyard/these grapes? Not enough vibe, not enough minerality, not big and rich, not any particular direction.
Just a waffler. Not sure what Mark was after........

Rich aromatic start with some summer flowers, ripe peach and some melon. Similarly rich flavors with a slight spritz to start, this was a fun wine that would be great for a summer afternoon.

Nose was fine with a little peach and lilac perhaps...
Acidity was too much for me when taken in with the rest of the wine. There were a couple of us with some spicy food and it did well to quell the heat in the food but not a wine I would buy again.

Light gold color. Pnp, drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Nose has a sweet vanilla extract note, citrus, cream, and subtle earth. The palate is citrus with spice and a bitter, sharp edged finish. Addendum - this improved considerably over the next couple of days, the edges rounded up nicely and there was no bitterness. Initially 86/ later 88+pts. Needs some bottle time.

Very floral with a great mineral note. Was a perfect pair for buffalo chicken Mac and cheese.
