12.5% alcohol. Very good long dense cork. Light gold colour. The nose is fresh and aromatic (white flowers), with a whiff of (not unpleasant) sweat-like aromas as well. The mouth is better (especially after a while in the glass, as it has a sharp feel initially), with gorse in evidence and fine acidity in the finish. While this is pretty good, it would be hard to say that it is a better wine than the Bordeaux Champ des Treilles that I had recently and which from memory was less than half the price of this Rully. Not great value for money, and accordingly not a repeat purchase.

12.5% alcohol. Good dense cork. Pale gold colour. The nose is somewhat reserved, but pure and floral nevertheless. The mouth is fresh and appealing, with yellow flower flavours, good balance and a lively finish. A wine of charm but with limited power; it was completely swamped by our dish of slowly cooked squid with dill sauce. I see that the current price at my supplier is 23€ (for the 2015); this seems to me rather high. No doubt you are paying for the De Villaine name. To be tried again in another context (foodwise) before deciding on the repeat purchase status. I am leaning negative at the moment.
Addendum: tried again with pan-fried cod; the wine survived on this occasion. There is nothing really wrong with it, except for the price; it is so completely outclassed by so many other white wines in the same price bracket, or indeed cheaper (sometimes considerably cheaper) that it is kind of embarrassing. Good luck trying to embarrass a Burgundian though! Not a repeat purchase.

Served a little cold. On opening, there were quite some quite distinct and unique aromas. Sweet milk. Malt. The palate, once the wine warmed in the glass, it mellowed out nicely, with lemon the dominant fruit. There's a spicy lift on the finish. Flavours lingered long afterwards. Really interesting bottle.

Ripe stone fruits, lemon. Crisp and refreshing, with good balance. There's a mineral edge that runs through to the salivating finish. There's enough intensity to keep you happy at this level.

PnP in shallow wide bowl, Riedel like, but slightly smaller, lot cheaper, white burg glass. Light gold color and clean minerally nose. Mineral carries over to a clean focused mid weight palate of assorted citrus / stony flavors. Sort of a cross between chablis and Puligny. One of the better white burgs, I've found, for the $30 I paid for it. Not as fully realized or dazzling as the recent 2010 I had and may never reach those heights. I may still grab another btl to try down the road.

The last of 15 bottles consumed since Christmas. About $35 in our market. Waxy and high toned, showing lemon and apricot. Full bodied. A little tart on the finish. A small bit of bottle variation, and we had one corked bottle. Jane liked this a smidgen more than me. When I asked her to score it she said 90. As an aside, I generally liked the blanc in 12 over the rouge from this house, although my solid favorite was a rouge, and I put up a note on it.

Excelled QPR. Took a few minutes to open up before revealing notes of grapefruit, lemon, toasted oak, spice, and vanilla. If I had this again, I might decant it. Could certainly age a few years more.
Medium bodied, balanced, and a nice pairing with salmon.

Shocked me how good this was. Consumed it over a few hour period. Meyer lemon with great minerality. Great QPR on this one. Bought only one to try, but wish I had bought more.

Medium yellow. Some herbs on the nose. Medium weight. Lovely, discretely ripe apricot, a kiss of wood, excellent minerality and balance, very good length. Really excellent and hors classe for Rully.

2012 A. et P. de Villaines: a good vintage: Colour light, bright gold. A pleasant but restrained bouquet. A nose of lemons, oatmeal, apples and some blanched nuts. There is a little spicy oak on bouquet. On palate, ripe but quite precise and well balanced, with some phenolics on the back palate. The guys I served it to blind were thinking Côte de Beaune - debating Puligny versus Meursault - not Côte Chalonnaise. The flavours are citric, blanched almonds and pears. The Rully has that 2012 richness, good mid palate stuffing and structure and there is some oak on palate, but is in no way overdone. Drink now, but it would probably benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar. A classy white Burgundy, delivering good value.

Pale yellow color. Nose of soft acid w/Melon profile. Flavor of Lemon peel w/soft acid. No marked finish. More of a refreshing Spring, Summer sipper.
