Dark red. Slightly closed dark cherry and spice bouquet. Big rich fruit flavor. Medium tannins. This could use 4 more years of aging to fully express. Medium long aftertaste. Unusually tough at this stage for a Chateauneuf.

Bright red fruit with leather and light tannin on the front of the palate. Plum, prune, dark roasted black cherry, earth, even some mushroom. Lots of astringency, as you would expect on the back of the palate. Still super fruit-forward, and could use several years. That said, still delicious in every respect. Not that we did, but this could use double decanting. 91 pts.

Blinds before MH's advanced exam (Home (Noe st)): (non-blind) Slight brett, earthy nose, hot. Baked red fruit, slight raisination - black and tart fruit. Full- bodied, elevated alcohol - 14% (actually 15%). Medium acid medium tannins - papery. Pretty good integration of earth and fruit.

Another empty bottle... Dark berries, sweetness, spice and chocolate. Good fruity palate with some bitterness. It has 15% of alcohol but it's nicely balanced and a good wine.

Little better than the previous bottle. Full of perfume! Flowers full in bloom on a summer evening in the mediterranian, garrigue. Tasty palate, good wine.

Pnp through a vinturri; appearance of a medium diffused purple-ruby; nose of musky black cherries, some green leafy herbs, and some hints of black fruits and cassis. Black peppery olives, dark espresso, with some dark black cherries on the palate; tannins on the front dissolve after some air; medium bodied with a medium finish.

Decanted for 45 min, this was a simple light wine, with fruit, tannin, and acid elements. Standing overnight this simply blossomed, abundant mushroom and oak on the nose, raspberry and well integrated tannins and acid on the finish. My rating reflects the 2nd day experience.

I was impressed by this wine; from start to finish a very good balance. In the bouquet black fruit and a bit kirsch, smoothness combined with freshness in the midtaste and an aftertaste with ripe tannins. Still young but already enjoyable.

Retailer tasting (@ O in H): Good herbs and spices, red fruits, a firm amount of sweetness, but also good acidity and tannin. No more notes, but this is a good wine. Early maturity now and certainly lovely until 2018+

65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% something else that she said too fast for me to catch. Nose of wet wool; palate of blackberry. Juicy. Very subtle tannins. Just a wee tad hint of pepper. I could hang out with this one.

Not typical CNDP, much more like a bbq wine. Soft tannins, smooth, well made but less personality

Big, ripe wine. Sweet fruit. Young but very enjoyable. With 15% alcohol I drink it slightly chilled otherwise the alcohol is overpowering. Like it.
