Lots of earthy forest floor and red fruits on the nose. These follow on to the medium bodied palate yielding a smooth, dark mélange of fruit and earth. The acidity is a touch more than needed for balance which leads me to suggest drinking sooner than later.

Full-bodied right out of the bottle. Dark color, Bing cherry, licorice, and cola, offset earthy tannins. This wine shows no sign of thinning and will continue to age for several more years.

The soft nose belies the mouthful of fruit and deep flavors with a lingering finish. Star berry, blueberry, and a hint of red licorice on the palette. This is drinking at its prime, no reason to wait but it still has a few years I suspect.

2012 > 2014, at least for the time being. Not sure if 2014 is closed right now but the ‘12 seemed to have slightly more bright fruit. Last bottle of this so time to re-order!

Rather muted nose, some red berry fruit here and there, but that's pretty much it. The palate gives way more than expected - notes of ripe cherry, blueberry, cola and chunks of forest floor-dried leaves character. Gives you a hint that it's developing way too fast for a fairly young wine, but if you want to drink it now, you're in for a rich, smooth, juicy treat.

Lots of dried raspberry on the nose, along with some vanilla and earth (dusty). Similar flavors with mild tannins and acidity. I'd say this wine is at or near it's peak (if near, it's started on the downhill side). Drink soon-ish.

It has been nearly six months since my last bottle and my notes this time were nearly identical, confirming that this wine remains at peak. Plum, cherry, raspberry and vanilla on the nose. Flavor profile follows the nose with red cherry, plum and raspberry upfront, then just enough acidity to provide a contrast and a transition to the tart cherry and wildberry on the backside. Tannins are nearly fully integrated now and the fruit is showing beautifully. I see no signs of this wine fading in the short term but I would drink any bottles in the next two years or so. It may endure beyond that point, but given where it is today, don't risk missing this window.

Didn't give this much chance to breathe, so was a little disappointed with aroma and flavor initially. But very impressive at how it developed quickly as we tasted. Vanilla & cherry predominance; a complex finish. Loved it !

My bottle from August 2016 was clearly just negative bottle variation as this wine recaptured my impressions from August 2015 and has even improved along the lines I anticipated. Plum, a mix of cherry and raspberry along with vanilla on the nose. Medium bodied and extremely well integrated and balanced at this stage. Quite drinkable upon opening, but improved nicely over the course of the next four hours. Soft, round notes of cherry, plum and raspberry upfront. Nice little burst of acidity towards the back along with tart cherry and wildberry. Just enough structure on the finish to give it expressiveness and length. The acidity and tartness towards the back provide an excellent contrast and balancing note, fully tying the wine together. Very glad I didn't give up on this as it's now at peak, drinking beautifully and should remain at this level for at least another year. I will probably drink my last bottle in another 6-8 months, but there's no reason for delay.

Last bottle was just about a year ago and this wine appears to have changed significantly during that time. Redfruit, vanilla and spices on the nose. Medium bodied, but disjointed throughout, even after three hours open. Acidity, alcohol and oak were much more prominent than my first two bottles. Mainly red cherry upfront, but appears to have lost the plum and raspberry notes. Still shows some of the tart cherry and wildberry towards the back end where it adds vanilla, spices and minerals. My first two bottles showed so much more balance and elegance, this showing was a real surprise. This bottle wasn't corked or cooked and there was no cork failure (seepage) or issues like a blown capsule; essentially no obvious flaws to pin this poor showing on. That leaves me with a few possibilities. (1) this wine aged much more quickly then I thought and with the fruit forward phase ending, the acidity, oak and alcohol are overwhelming the fruit. I hadn't noticed in my prior two bottles, but this wine is 14.5% ABV, very high for Oregon, but less atypical for the 2012 vintage. (2) the wine is shut down or in some other transitional phase and will show better in the future. (3) just negative bottle variation. Based on the rest of the recent reviews which seem quite similar to my prior notes, I'm just going to chalk this up to negative bottle variation and cross my fingers for my next bottle!

Definitely a big Pinot noir. Which I have to ask myself, what's the point? Not my style but I'm not going to knock it down for that. It is a well made wine

Aromas of ripe deep flavors of red berries, strawberry, raspberry. Very smooth, in fact maybe too smooth. Could do with a bit more tannin structure. But all in all yet another good US pinot noir - Oregon this time.

Opened for about an hour, not decanted. Very smooth plum and cherry medium body wine that is drinking very well. Enjoyed quite a bit and complemented our Alaskan salmon nicely.

Very good Pinot. Opened up really nicely and was smooth with a mild hint of fruit. Extremely well balanced, very smooth and velvety. Mild hints of fresh red berry on the nose. I would recommend

Drank in restaurant in Scottsdale, big wine, high alcohol for Oregon, medium bodied but more California than Oregon, not a bad wine but I like it with more terroir, AS is not my style of wine, probably will not drink again although I read that the winemaking team has changed at the winery, $75 on wine list, drank with duck.

Similar to prior notes (Dec 2014). Plum, cherry and floral notes on the nose. Medium bodied and has come together quite nicely over the past nine months. Black cherry, raspberry, plum and wildberry upfront backed with sour cherry, earth and acidity as it heads into the finish. Accessible from opening, but shows it best after being open for two hours. The highpoint remains the moment right before it heads into the finish where it seems like the wine is most complete. Based on the structure, fruit and acidity, this wine has at least a couple of years before it hits peak. The greatest endorsement I can give it is the fact that I plan to buy more.

Plum, raspberry and very expressive floral notes on the nose. Solidly medium bodied and very well balanced, especially at this young age. Shows black raspberry upfront backed with plum, wild berry and sour cherry. Very smooth throughout and the finish was a real highpoint. The sour cherry note blends nearly seamlessly into the mineral, earth and acidity on the finish and last for quite a good amount of time. The balanced fruit and the excellent finish and acidity tell me this wine should improve over the next few years, but is certainly worth trying now.

The wine that made us fall in love with Archery Summit the first time back in 2005. Well this does not disappoint: deep garnet, resinous, perfumed aroma, voluptuous candied fruit, cherry, some sweetness evident. This is a good year.

Pnp: Dark garnet hue. Complex aroma of red/purple fruit, floral and hint of spice. Medium body wine with hints of dark berries. Smooth with medium finish. Nice balance and acidity. Even better on day #2. Picked up for a great deal at Costco - will be back for more!!
