It's a delicate, pretty and bright nose. Vibrant herbal tea, florals, some bright red/black fruit. Savory. Palate gives off more advanced features. Some tart fruit. Mineral. Very similar to my experience with the '13 a few years ago, which was a really intoxicating nose, and a less intriguing palate. All in all, a nice bottle of wine.

Was fantastic just after opening (89 point) but "died" fast. So open, share and drink fast The body is light. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium.

All about primary characteristics. Day 1 showed bright red fruit but with some bitter green flavors as well. The wine showed best on day 2. The fruit was darker and the texture was creamier. The vegetal characters were much less noticeable.

Subtle dry aromas of pepper, berry and bark. Salty dry fruit on the palate with great presence, focus, and grip as it moves to the tannic acid finish. Firm spine and structure. Excellent with braised pork chops and asparagus.

Simple, pleasant with bright red fruit flavors. Solid acidic spine which I like. Especially considering the price of more recent vintages I can get similar pleasure in Beaujolais for 1/3 the cost.

A private dinner (Restaurant The Dining Room at Whatley Manor **, Malmesbury, UK): From 1 hectare of domaine vineyards in La Croix Blanche in Vosne-Romanée and Les Autrots in Flagey-Echezeaux, as well as bought-in grapes from other villages in the Côte de Nuits. This is a remarkably complete and stylish generic Burgundy, pure and precise, with lovely ripe 2012-fruit, a nice hint of sauvage, floral notes from the stems, spicy depth from the wood, silky and seamless, lightish body but with good intensity, cool and mineral core, gentle but bright skin phenols, aromatic finish, very good length. Had I tasted this blind, I would have been confident about my hypothetical guess of very good quality 2012 village from the Côte de Nuits.

Excellent nose, but a little more closed than I recall. Nose is cool and fresh with airy red berry fruits, menthol, game, and lots of stony mineral notes. The palate is tighter with more gripping tannins and less fruit than I recall. May be closing down a touch. Will hold 1/2 the bottle for a day or two to see how it changes.

Lovely Bourgogne. Nose is earthy, gamy, red berry fruits, and floral hints. The palate is good with nice concentration and depth for the level. Very enjoyable.

Popped and tasted over two days. Pretty consistent over both days. There is a sour taste on the finish that I find off putting. The nose is charming with scents of dark cherry and earth. Perhaps the wine will come into harmony with time in the bottle.

Slowly decanted for eight hours since it was young. Wine fully opened up. Not as flavorful as the villages or 1ERs from Meo. Perhaps the 2013s will show better.

riktigt härlig och enkel bourgogne, visst bara ett byvin men det är välgjort och riktigt komplext och har en mörk frukt och typiska pinottoner, lite mognad i smak och färg, jättegott!

this needed air for the nose to show black raspberries and forest floor, there is a handful of fruit that gushes onto the palate, but not a fully structured wine, remains dry and gains complexity with air, long finish that shows off some mineral, open this with something to munch on, believe it or not this is a good match with a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos

Medium to light garnet. Strawberry, red cherry, raspberry and herbs on the nose. Medium-bodied, with freshness, firm tannins and high acidity. Medium aftertaste. Will be better in a couple of years.

Typical medium depth ruby color. Burgundian nose with forest floor, cherry fruit and nice spices, also some bacon fat. A little tart on the palate but quite acceptable Bourgogne overall.

JUST recieved this from Vosne this week, a delivery I've been looking forward to for a long time. The Bourgogne Rouge is my first encounter with the 2012 vintage from Méo, and it seems promising. Still a bit of reduction, but delicious, smooth, pinot fruit underneath, with that dark Méo character. A little moist forest floor and just a hint of oak.. Nice and very charming wine so far. 89-90
