This is fine and just that. It's a complete wine. Good balance. Holding up well and all. It's just not as interesting as you would hope nine years in. A touch reduced. Some paraffin and citronella on the nose. Generous acidity behind some richer leaning citrus flavors. It's doesn't much of that more rich character you typically get with Savagnin. Gets a bit dilute towards the finish. Acid freaks will spin it into something more but it's a nice midweek dinner companion but not a lot more. Good.

Another outstanding bottle, perhaps even better than the last. Such a strong character without being overdone in any way. Love the aromatics, the floral elements, the minerals and the intensity on the tongue. Easily consumed on its own, but also good with food. As these have only gotten better for us, I'd speculate a drinking window for future vintages starting at at least 5 years. I've tried the '13s and '14s and so far neither is showing anything like as well as the '12.

Drunk with Kunik cheese for lunch. As good a bottle of this wine as I have had. One recently made me think it might be on the decline, but this was vibrant and rich and mature. Great energy. There's so much going on, with just a tiny hint of oxidation. Very aromatic, nice round mouth feel with plenty of acid. Did I mention energy?

PnP. Lovely golden yellow hue and fruity bouquet. Oak was well integrated. Not as crisp on the palate as the Chardonnay I had from here a couple of weeks back. Nice acidity and balance with a minerally mid-palate. Day two and the wine developed considerable depth and a more lengthy finish. Would love to try this in a couple of years.

Terrific at the table...had the acid to cut through a fatty pork chop and secondary/tertiary notes to elevate sole meuniere. At first, it seemed a bit timid, but the flavors and nuances that build and billow out around 30-40+ seconds really knocked me out. Not the sherry-like vin jaune I usually associate with the Jura, this was a very approachable, eminently enjoyable wine.

Bright golden color. Smells of citrus and newly crushed stone. Some burnt notes. Nice fatty mouth feel and nice use of oak. Good concentration and minerality. Playful acidity. Relativly long finish. 89p-90p

Very pale golden color. Intense floral notes on nose. Taste is multi-layered, intense. Lots of the usual Jura notes, but also a bright fruitiness. Really delicious.

Top 100 Farewell Dinner 2014 (Rodwell House): (Tasted Blind): Mid lemon colour with aromas of peach, vanilla spice and woody undertones. The palate has a pleasant peach fruit offset by a crisp yet fine acidity, leading to an integrated and lovely mineral finish. Texturally and aroma-wise, it is reminiscent of lemon cream biscuits, with almost a lactic feel to it. Excellent length, smart wine. Closes firm. The ‘Ouillé’ refers to being topped up.

Fascinating - I tasted this at the same event as JOsgood and came away with the exact opposite reaction - this was more authentic and interesting vs the certainly good but not as motivating Chardonnay. This is clean and a bit funky, not at oxidized as one thinks of when one thinks of Jura wines. I did buy it and hope to enjoy it!

Tasting this side by side with the Chardonnay and this is a definite step down. This is the first vintage so I'm sure it will improve soon but not a fan of this wine.

Svak bitterhet finsh.

Nose and palate dominated by oak. Fresh acidity. Finish has off-putting notes of overripe to rotten stone fruit.

Quite linear and clean tasting. Doesn't have the usual Jura funk or any real complexity. I'm glad I didn't buy this.
