This was a sweet bottle of bubbles, not at all like a traditional Brut. Almost a cross of a dessert wine with bubbles. ...okay, not that extreme but definitely a different taste.

Very nice stuff- honeysuckle and cream in the nose, with spice underneath- lavender, nutmeg, cloves. The bead is quite rough. Grapefruit on the middle palate, nice tropical notes woven into it. Dry enough to snap, but not too dry.

A little sweet. Not that much chenin character but good sparkler.

Brought to a dinner. Small pour got tropical fruits, pear with hazelnut. A bit too sweet for my liking but fun to try.

Monthly Tasting Group: Blind Pinots Worldwide (The Dakota, Mpls, MN): Tasting pour. Light medium gold color. Tropical, apple, sweet, floral Chenin character. Good for the style. Just not in my wheel house.

This is really terrific. Not too sweet. Developed almost a nuttiness with time in the glass. Some hazelnut, orchard fruit. Fine bubbles. Very good.

Francois Chidaine tasting with Rob Panzer, Down to Earth wines (Bistro 7, Philadelphia, PA): Fine bubbles, some pear and apple, a little chenin note. Slightly sweet but not as much as I expected. Good acid. Easy drinking.

The Chenin Blancs of Francois Chidaine of Montlouis/Vouvray (Bistro 7 (7 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia)): This is the Demi-Sec bottling. The Brut bottling is listed under Brut in the CellarTracker drop down list. Mildly sweet. A touch of brown sugar. Fine bubbles. Lip smacking and delicious. Really good.

Great aromatics of orange peel and rocks, very dry with precision and cut. Beautiful, light but persistent.

Very fine bubbles, lemon, rocks and honeycomb nose, almost austere and dry in the mouth. Refreshing and outstanding value.
