Bought a few of these years back. Thought that it might improve with a few years. This bottle showed up while poking around in the cellar and tonight we had it. Wine was good! Smooth and all flavors were well integrated. I would wish we had a few more!

December 31, 2022. Drank from Bin North 8. Camino Island with Aline, Phil and Liz. Spice currant nose. Dark purple. Full dry chalk presentation with touch of currant and cherry and slight oak spice finish. 8.5/10.

Great QPR. Has depth, some complexity. Not going to stand up to a $40 bottle, but it was just $14. Makes for a great daily drinker type of wine. Heavy enough to go with red meat, but was just light enough to go with a salad with chicken as well. Lots of oak and wood along with some muddled berries and minerals. All in all nice.

Wine is an opaque purple to ruby hue with long legs. The nose presents spicy dark cherries, with hints of raspberries, blackberries and cassis. Medium heavy chewy tannins. Too heavy for roast chicken, and it was a better pairing with steak, but think the best pairing would be game or slow roasted braised meats.

Deep garnet color. Heavy notes of black cherry, plum and cassis. Medium body. No overt tannins. Hitting its stride I would recommend drinking within the next 12 months.

Surprisingly, still drinks pretty well. A good wine not great, but perfect for casual evening with friends. It was very good with salmon and veggie fajitas. Some tart cherry, tannic finish.

Good but nothing special. Diversity of aromas comes from the 7 grape varieties and not really the "quality". The wood is not entirely balanced, think this was made with oak flavor not from a barrel. However, as it is fairly cheap, it is nice to drink with some friends who like strong wine but not the expensive stuff.. It has a deeper colour and body with a fruity nose and oak flavors in the mouth. From Commercial aspect this is actually great...

Re-tasting after an initial bad experience where the wine was a little cooked... sweet cherry nose with some baking spice, tart acidic strawberry leads, followed by darker forest fruits. Lingering finish is tart and ambiguously muddled.

Picked this up on a clearance for $5. At that price it's a no-brainer. A good weekday sipper with dark fruit. I will definitely be picking up some more at this price.

3.75, very fruity and a little juicy with a little of that zinfandel Smokey spice. Very smooth but could use just a tad more tannin. Plums and blackberry for the fruit, along with some vanilla. Overall quite tasty and my favourite Ravenswood product. Drinking great now so drink up!

Rich but overripe dark fruits on the nose. Sharp alcohol bite leads, thinly veiled by muddled flavors of stale grape press dregs. Slightly peppery finish with almost caustic acidity.

There's lots of potential here ... but we drank it too soon. Dark fruit (plums, blackberries, black cherries, blueberries ... you get the point) on the nose and palate, but the tannins/acidity are coming thru big time, so the balance isn't there yet ... but I'd like to taste it when it all comes together!

Hazy medium dark purple. High octane nose with cassis and bramble scents and an almost artificial cherry odor. Pepper and tart cherry flavor with earthy tones. Reminiscent of the Apothic Red of which I am also not a fan. Best thing about the wine is the label.

Nice opaque berry color. Fresh and full berry on the nose. Heavy legs. Tart berry, cinnamon and big mouthful. Medium, dry finish. Nice for an evening, not for the cellar.

Bought at wallmart because my cellar had dwindled to nothing...fed-ex guy showing up with more saturday. Purple with muddy undertones. not a bad nose . Obviously does not need to be decanted...its a wallmart wine.Thin and tinny. Fruit flavor as minimal as it is comes and goes in a nano second but for ten bucks i,ve had a lot worse

23$ from MLCC in YWG - decent QPR - marketing suggests to expect a fruit bomb that is directed towards younger vino crowd - and this delivers...nose has nice dark fruit and carries through on palate with luscious fruit that is a little heavy but multilayed. Tannin is light as is acid. This mix of more than 5 grapes is as expected and good match for week night fare. Not sure if i would cellar for a future taste.

I really enjoyed the 2012, but this was nowhere near as good. Initial hit of dark fruits, but that died out almost immediately -- no middle and no finish. Pretty weak stuff considering how it is trying to market itself. Of course, with a mass-produced wine like this, a great deal of bottle variation might be present. But at least there was no discernible residual sugar!

Overall a nice all-blacks Red blend. Nice for a Pizza bottle with some strong fruit and some secondary flavors. A little sweetness, skittles thing, but doesn't take away from the broader appeal of this wine. Nice at this price!

Blind Red Wine Tasting (Plymouth, MN): Bland, yet flavorful. Easy drinker. For blind tasting: I correctly guessed red blend, 88 pts, 5th out of 8 wines. Marianne: Correctly guessed red blend, 87 pts, 4th out of 8 wines. Overall 2nd out of 8 wines.

the label promises a big dark red, and in this aspect and wine delivers.dark in the glass with a powerful kick of tannins. But otherwise the one disappoints a bit. .there is a strong sour note that lies on top of the flavors.

Deep and dark color to this field blend aged 10 months in oak. Aromas of dark berries, plum, dark chocolate and baking spices of cardamom and star anise with crushed violets and oak nuances. The palate is full bodied and muscular, firm full tannins, medium-plus acidity, medium-plus alcohol and medium plus weight with bold flavors of blackberry, plum, bramble, dark cherry, cardamom, and cinnamon stick, violets, baking chocolate, toast and vanilla with hints of star anise. The finish is moderate-plus in intensity and length, lingering on the bold fruits and oak tones.
