Dark violet with burgundy tinge on the edges. Nose garrigue, earth, dark fruited. Palate richly fruity, blackberries and black cherries with a kirschy intensity, an earthy tinge with time, a cherry brightness on the finish. Still seems young. Very nice to taste a sound bottle of this. Deep and intriguing

Drinking well right now, tannin has mellowed. Some syrah feral funk along with black fruit. Lower acid and thinner bodied on first opening, but developed some spice and bite after a couple of hours. Decant or let these rest longer.

Color dark opaque violet. Nose spicy dark fruit. Palate initially spritzy, some hot dark fruits with spice. With time, blooming brett, this overpowering thin sourness on the palate. Unfortunate tho kept in not ideal conditions (mostly room temp)

Worcestershire sauce umami and black fruit. Bright with dusty tannins that finish with a dark chocolate bitterness. Higher on the ripeness spectrum than I was expecting.

Medium to dark ruby. Initially lactic nose. After some aeration it reveals lovely floral and spicy aromas alongside mostly red berry and cherry. On the palate it is medium-bodied mostly on the elegant side with silky tannins and perfect balance. Long aftertaste. Close in style with a Cornas. Drinking nicely already.

Interesting wine whose multiple elements cooperate for the most part. Has an attractive tarry component on top of all the fruit that draws you back for the next sip. 91 Forty eight hours later this has relaxed beautifully. 92
Enjoyable now or let it soften. Best 2018-2024

This might be the ultimate early-drinking red. Fantastic nose with pure blueberry fruit alongside clove, white pepper and violet. Med+ bodied, excellent concentration and velvety texture. Balanced and long. So enjoyable. I am so sorry that this label is to be diacontinued after the 2013 vintage.

Prominent nose with both mint and barnyard notes. Clear dark red. Lots of fruit in front, Syrah spiciness, and wood. Maybe a bit hot. Not all put together now but will try it again in a few years.

The nose is clean (though it needs some time), med/med+ intensity, the fruit is in the back, oak quite evident with sweet spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, a warm character overall, malolactic tones, ripe red cherry, dates, leather, saddle with time, more earthy/gamey notes, alcohol heat, fruit in alcohol, ripe red currant, ripe red berry, all of them above an oak stave, youthful. Tobacco and cigar box notes later on.
The wine is dry, med body and intensity, 14.50% alcohol, med acidity, tannins are med, the heat from alcohol is quite upfront, the red fruit is more lean and thin, gamey and some mineral notions too, lacks strength and structure at this point, short to med finish.
Very good quality, premium price, drink now or hold. Rating goes for the nose rather than the palate

Nose completely dominated by ground coffee and spicy new oak; nice texture on the palate but builds to quite a harsh finish - acidity really sticks out. I think I'd tire of this pretty quickly.

Initially reductive and funky. After aeration, it revealed subtle aromas of strawberry, red cherry and berry fruit, botanical herbs abd spice. Medium-bodied, silky-textured and balanced with good good length. Very elegant. From now.

Interestingly, it has lost some other elements but still has fruit. Very soft but tasty. Past time to drink up.

complex floral nose; flowers, spices and wild berry fruit; a bit of menthol; able to have some density and be fairly bright/light on its feet.
reportedly syrah, cinsault and tinta barocca naturally fermented in big cement tanks.
