Frightfully tannic in its youth which distracted from its crystalline fruit core - a theme in my experience with grenache from the high altitudes west of Madrid - hanging out at 55F for idk maybe 8sh years has borne fruit. Flowers, strawberries, peppery minty garrigue-y spice on now pleasantly polymerized tannins and appropriate acids. Another cellar vindicator

I bought a case two years ago. On the advice of Luis Gutierrez, started consuming right away-he advised 2015-18. Just had another last night-it has gotten better and better. I think it is not at the last of its life, but still on the rise.

Average Spanish Garnacha with somewhat muted nose. Medium on the palate with hints of strawberry, vanilla, and bramble. Short and abrupt finish. Paired with pork tenderloin and fresh asparagus. Would not repurchase.

From memory. Nice Grenache with a lot of jammy fruit at present. Medium to long length with minerality buried under the fruit. Acidity lower than I was expecting and hence slightly out-of-balance to me at pesent. Curious as to where this goes in a few years.

Ruby with a touch of crimson towards the edges. Aromas of red fruits, earth, minerals, cola, herbs, tar, and a hint of floral. Nice. Light to medium body, good acidity, medium tannin and finish, and flavors of bright and tart red fruits, cinnamon, and minerals. Not sure what this will do, but it's nice right now. 90+ (the wife had this at 92).

A Madrid wine drunk in a most appropriate manner possible: for the CL second leg of Real-Atleti. The wine ended up being sweeter than the result.
This is grenache through and through. Nice wine making, seems to speak of both place and varietal. That said, full on grenache-ness is not my favorite. A bit sweet and a touch ripe for my tastes. Still I can't find much fault with the craft. If you like a nice, unfettered cotes du rhone along the lines of say Saladin, then you'd probably dig this too, probably more so.

Ruby red. Nose: sweet cherries, cedar, rose petals, cigar smoke, bell pepper. Palate: dense mouthfeel, lots of strong grainy tannins. Medium-plus acid. Sweet cherries, blackberries and raspberries. Blood Orange. White pepper. Dried Tarragon and lavender. Tar. This is a dark, dense 100% Garnacha. Finish: this well constructed wine maintains its palate profile on the finish. It's the Orange that persists the longest and, when it fades out, you're left with very chewy tannins. Overall this is a beautiful Garnacha that merits slow drinking. It has the stuffing to go years but I love how the flavors are bursting right now. It isn't especially complex or nuanced, but it's an a step or two above the $15 Spanish Garnachas. Definitely worth a try.

Grenache tasting (By FN): In the bouquet very ripe jammy red fruits. Same on the palate, raspberries, some spiciness. Mild acidity and tannin. Special and I don’t know what to think. Maybe try again in 1 or 2 years.

spanish wine (Näringslivets hus, Stockholm): Licorice root tea and ripe grenache berries, uncomplicated but perfectly structured, expressive and lovely wine. If there is more complexity developing over time, this may be a really interesting wine, but drinks real well at the present stage also.

Started out with a distinct melon-like flavor, as it opened became jammy. Deep color, enjoyable.

Dried tarragon on the nose, supple tannins, the finish was basking in violet candy. What a find!

Not sure if the bottle was bad or the wine is bad, thin, no bouquet, not much flavor, drank with barbecued pork chops, won't drink again.

good garnacha, quite a bit fuller and less jammy than many others. no other extensive notes taken; probably not a re-buy.

First bottle to try. The body is light/medium. Spicey but was nice to drink on a suddenly slightly chill evening outside.

Nice bit of pepper in taste, though still light and quaffable. A keeper.
