Yellow gold. Expressive fruitiness on nose and some unexpected sweetness on palate. Pleasant wine not hot not alcoholic decent balance, age sign but no premox at all. To drink now, unless you want to try more aged notes but not really my style. Fear with more age this can become almost sweet dry wine

What a pretty wine, that colour is glorious. Nose had a little citrus, vanilla, a little oak and a little hint of tropical fruits and nuts. The palate was so smooth, perfect balance, nice body, more citrus, melon and a hint of sweetness. This is drinking superbly and, sadly my last of a case of 6, wish I'd kept more as I drunk most too early, this cost me less than £30 a bottle @laywheeler and well worth seeking out to try and #giveanewwineago these guys produce some wonderful reds but don't overlook their whites. 92 points

A private dinner at a friend's (Warmond, NL): Screwcap, 14% ABV. Solid Chardonnay, well put together, not a lot of terroir typicity but impeccably made, everything in place, well balanced and seamless, leesy complexity, good but not excessive weight, ripe acidity but a mineral core, good length.

Attractive nose. Full bodied. Lots of ripe fruit. Shows its alcohol though (14%). Fulsome still on mid-palate and through a long, fruited finish. A lot of character and intensity of flavours.

It was again a bit rough around the edges and not as classy as perhaps it should be. It is still a decent wine and I'll leave a year before drinking my next bottle. 88 points

It's a beautiful gold colour, oak on the nose and yellow fruit on the palate, decent acidity and it is Burgundian, with a new world fullness. However the next day it lost some of that and was a little more delicate. 88 points.

Strong notes of honey orange/tangerine with secondary notes of green apple, honey almond, tea, and grass. This was clearly a nice bottle of wine, but for the second time now, I’m perplexed at how overly ripe it tasted to me. Like last time (when I tried a bottle of the 2008), this bottle was only four years into its life and only a year away from its release and it just tasted too old (I bought it a few weeks ago). This one wasn’t as bad as last time, but I want a Chardonnay that can sustain a year or two of bottle age and, really, that’s not asking too much. I’m just not too sure what to think. Has anyone else had this experience with this wine?
I liked how this paired with food: great match with scallops and crispy pancetta and Lamb stew. Good match with salmon with a pinapple/mango salsa. Better out of the Chablis glass than the Montrachet glass.

No formal note. Bright, medium straw/gold. Ripe apple fruit, touch of sesame, quite broad and rich but with fresh, offsetting acidity. Good length. Very good indeed ***1/2.

Canary gold color. Flinty grapefruit, honey, melon rind. Taste is lush and round, but near no oak, more grapefruit, pear and candied lemon with brûlée finish. Complex and lasting, no vanillins to speak of.

Made from five Burgundian clones. Some "experts" say the "finest Chardonnay made outside France". We disagree with that accolade, but we do think it clearly is an excellent drop. Dark straw-yellow with green hues. Enticing. Aromas of beautifully balanced apples, toasty-oak (not too much) and honey almonds. Very nice! Palate of toasted almond, honey-cream and pleasing acidity. The finish is fairly long and elegant. Ah, she impresses on first sight, charms the audience as she waltzes around the room and leaves many a suitor dismayed as she decides who will be the lucky fella to drive her home...and will keep him waiting until, at least, the 3rd date ;-). Simply stated, this luvly will lay down and benefit from a few more years in the bottle. We overpaid - darn retail shops that we cannot avoid at the moment - but we still think a good QPR...excellent when paying wholesale prices that we have noticed other CTers have enjoyed. 91+
Retailer tasting (@ N in L): Ripe yellow fruits in the bouquet as well as on the palate. Pineapple, pear, ripe apples, good lemon and lime acidity. Overall a full bodied wine with good freshness and some grapefruit bitterness in the finish. 89 - 90

Wow, thats a good amount of oak, and its wonderful. Light on its feet for how darn big it is. Lightening in a bottle stage - really nice acid. What a pull.

A bit more new world Aussie than classic white Burgundy. It's above average and nice. It probably needs a few more months. 88 points
