Pretty garnet in color, with a little dusty earth on nose. Brambly red, purple, black fruit. Blackberry, vanilla, with some tartness. Smooth, medium finish.

Very sad to see the last of these go from my cellar, not sure how much better it can get, but it's drinking beautifully right now. Tannins have been completely smoothed out and it has taken on that subtle vanilla character that I usually associate with higher end Cab. Really long finish. Nice..

Smooth zin through and through - raspberry, clove, cardimun. Great balance, very much enjoyed and price point was reasonable for a Napa red of this caliber.

This is a bold Zinfandel with ripe boysenberry and black cherry fruit. There is an astringency and alcohol hit on the finish that is a bit too much for our taste.

New World Blind Tasting Group $25+ (Bin 75): Dark reddish purple with medium plus extraction; strong brown baking spice, dark ripe fruit, savory, brown sugar, mix of blue and black fruit, blueberry; some texture, plum skin, apple skin, berries, higher alcohol, less tannin but elevated for varietal; good.

Not that impressed, especially when the outstanding Sineann I had last week was the same price. I hope the 07 Marisoli Cab I've been saving doesn't let me down like this did.

TomLee nailed this one; ABV 14.6; nose of nice raspberry, garrigue and menthol; medium body with up front sweet raspberry that quickly turns to earth, eucalyptus and menthol; good acidity; some oaky tannin on the finish; anise appears more on day 2; a bit more angular than i expected, especially when drunk next to the (port-like) young rombauer zin.

The wine is a deep red in color. 14.8% ABV. The nose features red fruits, menthol, pepper and licorice. Rich flavors of raspberry, white pepper, earth, eucalyptus, plum and mocha on the palate. Claret style Zinfandel. Medium acidity, supple tannins and a long finish. Drink over the next 3-5 years.

Absolutely fine. Spice, but that's about it. A little disappointed, considering the strength of the rest of the Elyse lineup.
