Beautiful fruit on the nose, dense red and black fruit on the palate. Some graphite and leather, but fruit predominates yet in a good way. Soft well integrated tannins. Dense, balanced and harmonious. Very, very enjoyable.

57% Merlot, 33% Cab Sauv, 8% Cab Franc & 2% P. V. Med+ ruby. Med+ black cherry, red cherry, ripe black plum, red flowers, pencil shavings, tobacco, mocha w/ an elegant oak overlay. Dry, but w/ generous fruit. Med acidity, med. resolved tannins and high (14.3%) but well integrated alcohol. Full-bodied, but very well balanced, w/ med+ to pronounced flavor intensity and length. Currently in a great place, it has potential to show well for several more years. Great QPR Bordeaux Blend.

Traditional Bordeaux Style Blend (57% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petite Verdot) from the Columbia Valley. Aromas of mixed berries, purple flowers, sweet herbs, pencil shavings and tobacco. Black fruit flavors with hints of fresh herbs and spices. Incredible balance and nice long finish. Well crafted.

Decanted for an hour, which softened the densely packed tannin. Aromas include saturated blackberry and dark cherry, dark chocolate shaving, graphite and most earth minerality, sage and black pepper. Medium plus in weight with elegant and refined acid and soft, lightly framed tannin. The structure is just beautiful. The flavor profile is driven by gorgeous fruit, including juicy blackberry, cherry, and dark plum. These are accentuated by subtle scorched earth and graphite. Agree with the opinion that this is entering a short prime drinking window, maybe one to three years in length. Only knock is the middle is noticeably thinner than the edges.

I am continually pleased when I open a DeLille. This one holds to that. Great wine, very nice price. Well made, beautifully oaked, soft tannins (that are diminishing). Still has a nice fruit profile. If you have this wine drink in the next year or so.

Jammy, heavy and still quite a bit of alcohol on the nose. Decently balanced on the palate and finish but very little complexity through vertical. Went well with pork chops but no one said “wow.”

Wonderful wine with delightful complexity. Well round wine that has baby fat, and no rough edges, and yet enough structure to command respect.
P.S. I had decanted this and did not finish it the first night. The wine sat in the decanter over night. In the morning I bottled and stored it. Tasted the second night and the wine had vinegary notes to it. It would have been nicer if the wine still had kept its structure the second night as well.

I continue to tout and appreciate Washington State wines and here's another winner. The D 2 is medium to full bodied, very well made (don't know the winemaker, but kudos) and bursting with flavor, depth and concentration. To me Washington state is the new California with tons of potential. I can find no flaws with this bottle as it displays all the exact characteristics of a superb Napa or Sonoma cabernet blend. I only wish they would tell you on the label what the blend was???
Drank from Bin South 12. Aline’s birthday. Spice currant nose. Deep dark purple. Burst of acid and tannins with cherry middle and dry stone cherry finish. 8/10.

Dark garnet color, nose starts with tart plums evolving into berries, baking spices and a hint of vanilla. Plush red berries wash over the palate, silky mouthfeel with a slight grip of tannin, finishing with tobacco and charcoal. Still plenty of acid remaining, this wine won't be fading for a few years. Super enjoyable to drink at this point, hard to see it improving from here. Well done Delille - great bdx blend <$40.

Poured through a powered aerator and drank over the next 90 minutes. Deep garnet to purple in color. Nose of carnations, blackberries, and cedar. Flavors are similar and noticeably missing undesirable grassy vegetable notes from my last bottle about 15 months ago. Age has been kind to this Wine and it has significantly improved and mellowed with more integrated tannins. Long finish so this may improve further with a long decant or another year to two in the bottle. Good QPR at $40. Up 2 points to 91.

Opened this wine and had a glass with pizza. Oak was prominent and overshadowed the fruit. Removed the air with vacu vin to let it settle down a bit. Reopened and poured a glass two nights later to accompany a new York strip and roasted potato's. Fantastic. Licorice, menthol, black cherry and smooth as silk. This is a big wine and should hit it's stride in 4 or 5 years, in my opinion. If you drink it now, open it a day or two in advance. This was a steal at $30.
