This was a real crowd pleaser. Fruit forward and smooth drinking. The ladies loved it. No obvious tannins and only slight acidity. It was okay with the roasted salmon fillets. Probably would be better with chicken or pork. Drink now, or in the next year, or so. Also served the 2014 Evening Land Seven Springs, La Source, which was a better match for the salmon.

Aroma: lemon, strawberries, raspberries, plums, cherries, pineapple and cocoa. Palate: plums, cherries, ripe fruits, very fruit forward and on the sweet side. Tannins are not noticeable with a medium length finish. Would decant for future bottles due to the amount of sediment. This is an unfined and unfiltered wine. Very one dimensional and not bad for an aperitif wine. 89

This was drinking beautifully tonight with lots lots of pretty red fruit and some earthy, slightly brambly undertones. All in all, quite nice and, to my tastes, drinking perfectly.

This wine is in a nice place and has improved since I last had a bottle. Lots of raspberry and cherry fruit, good minerality, soft tannins, and a medium finish. It is full bodied, has a full mouthfeel and has developed some nice complexity..

The wine has nice red fruits, integrated tannins, some minerality, even some chalkiness, and a medium finish. But it is not a stellar wine. While quite enjoyable, it lacks some complexity.

Very nice tonight with lots of earthy, penetrating dark red and blue fruit with peppery, brambly undertones. The tannins on the longish finish are fine and a bit chalky. Delicious and drinking well very shortly after opening.

Popped and poured. Nose is predominately strawberry. Lot of alcohol on the palate. Strawberry with a bit of vanilla come through on the palate. Do not believe this will get much better.

Same note as before. Full bodied and layers. The fruit is red centric (leaning towards roasted) with a hefty touch of baking spice. Not on the same level as the highly structured 2016 but very good entry level offer (even at $50). Drink or hold 3-4 more years.

Pumped a few Coravin glasses while preparing steak dinner and the Cab was decanting. Unexpectedly good. Surprising medium body, fruity with a slight peppery finish. Some heat kicks in mid way through.

Not bland at all. I found it to be full bodied and nicely layered. Plenty of ripe red fruit (raspberry, cherry) backed by baking spices, vanilla, and plum. A moderate amount of acidity provides some freshness and provide lift for a couple more years. I would have guessed Sonoma.

Quite dark and opaque for a pinot. Cloudy, red color.
Nose of tart raspberries and tart cherries. Not vanilla, but a note of honey on the nose. A green/stemmy note as well. The earthiness is there, but fairly muted.
I'd call the body medium+. Quite massive for a pinot. The wine has a distinct oily mouthfeel as well. Quite tart/acidic. Silky smooth tannins. Long spicy cinnamon finish.
This was a really interesting wine! My first time trying BF. Given the source, I think I was expecting it to be more like a ripe, oaky, RRV pinot, but this is definitely something different. It is big, rich, and wild. I drank this bottle over three days, and it definitely showed best on day three. At $50 a bottle, I think there are better value propositions in the region, but this one is definitely worth trying. I will probably pick up another bottle of the same vintage so I can revisit it in 2020-2022.

PNP through an aerator. Unfiltered medium deep strawberry red. Pleasant nose of strawberries and river rock. Taste is similar with notes of anise, allspice, cola and licorice. Not heavily extracted but not "elegant" either. Very good balance of tannins and acidity. Medium bodied. Nice wine.

Man really really good. Very smooth, no hard edges, great fruit, none of the meaty salumi flavors that I dislike, nice complexity with herbal notes, some mint. Most importantly it's just delicious. What a treat.

Gripping, elegant but easygoing red fruit, classy spicy finish, medium acidity. Easy on the earthen elements considering how Beaux Frères tends to evolve. Hint of blueberry, fainter hint of menthol wayyy back there. Feels like higher alcohol than in past vintages. Really good. Tannins are relaxed and this is ready to please a crowd.

Rich dark fruit, mostly cherry, that is plush. Balance is what jumps out, with a finish that is long, gaining steam as it goes. This is a wine that could pair with just about any food or is lovely on its own.

Deep and intense aromatics. Very fragrant. Cherries and black raspberries on top of lavender, pastille, and graphite. Lovely spice from the wood. Dark and brooding, expansive and long, with ample density, weight, and definition. Plush dark fruit flavors tighten up a notch through the wood spice finish. Well made and delicious.

Perfectly nice, mid weight Pinot with classic Willamette personality. Made in a more youthful style, though I think 1-2 years could be beneficial. Texture is quite supple and silky, aromatics are typical candied cherry and cola with some flora aromatics as it opened. Little tannin and a medium finish. I should note it is not a great QPR.

Very floral nose with loads of violets, blue and dark fruit, and five spice. Warm, luxuriant palate, somewhat lacking in tannin structure. I think this is best drunk as a delicious young wine. (92 Very good wine)

The very first New World Pinot I ever drank and thought to myself, "wow...that was good". Granted, this was many years ago and I've had a lot of great Pinots since then from various appellations in the New World but this one made me realize what Pinot is capable of, with the earthiness, the spice, the rugged, ripe fruits, the leather and forest floor.
