Garnet with a ruddy hue, not quite opaque. Pure red fruits. Elegant on entry and the mid palate, medium-bodied before firm Nebbiolo-esque tannin structure bites down, lovely red fruit and tomato leaf flavour profile. Excellent. Lovely layering between the different textures, like in a top quality Barolo or Barbaresco with age.

Krotida Wine Gang Tasting, Trying Xinomavro (Simul Restaurant): The wine shows tremendous character in the nose, very expressive, old school Naoussa rustic typicity, tomato, earthy and spicy notes, but elegant overall. The wine shows powerful acidity, red cherry, rustic character again, tomato, medim tannins, fresh and ripe, some dried fruit notes in the long finish. Outstanding quality.

À l'aveugle j'aurais probablement dit un italien, sans doute un sangiovese. Rouge translucide, nez sur les fruits et un peu la terre humide, bonne acidité en bouche avec des fruits rouges, des tanins moyens et une belle longueur. Rien de très complexe mais c'est assez fin. Délicieux avec des cannellonis mais était tout aussi bon seul après le repas. Solide QPR.

Hour and half decant, could have used more, give it a couple at least if you can. The nose is dusty, with cherry and a tangy citrus element. The palate is tight with very grippy tannins and strong acidity but has plenty of fruit and oakiness to make it enjoyable. A medium mouthfeel with a little bit of heat and a medium finish, this would benefit from more time in the cellar or a lot more air but still a pleasant wine to drink.

Could be mistaken for a decent Nebbiolo, lots of cherry fruit a bit of leather and I think a touch of VA too. Some fine tannins still but drink this with some food and it's cracking, the acidity cuts through any fat easily. Drinking well now, will probably last for a few more years at least

Nez très aromatique , côté cire/miel , eucalyptus , très funky . Petit Fruit noir , note de réduction(fruit réduit /balsamique ), bonne aciditée , frais mais très gourmand , tannin assez puissant , bon potentiel de garde à mon avis , 88-90 ?? , deuxième jours 90+ super vin

Clear, browny mauve with pink rim, with sparse fast-moving tears. Clean, full intensity, aromas of dark cherries, Turkish Delight, perfume, and dark chocolate. Dry, med body, med+ alcohol, full tannins, light acidity, nice balance and a good finish. This wine opens fast and very nicely - don't be fooled by the opening taste. Further tastes of blackcurrants, the blood from roast beef, black pepper, violets and a hint of espresso. Blind tasted you may think it was a good Bordeaux. This native Greek grape grips you with it tannins but teases you with its delicate feel.
