Best bottle of any Kongsgaard wine I have every had, hands down . exotic fruit, so balanced and smooth with great acid. I don"t know how it made it when many of his brother's feel away.

Nice Wine. The fruit is on the light side. light aroma's of paraffin and pit fruit. I think this is very elegantly fading. Nice acid to keep it very lively. I would drink up only because it is not getting any better. Kept in a very cold cellar since release from the winery.

I knew that I had waited too long to drink this bottle, and that there would be no floral notes left in the nose. Nose of toasty oak, lemon, and straw. Later on toasty popcorn. Very ripe, alcoholic and burned a little. Very lovely nose, and drank like a Kongsgaard Chard.

a good wine. the color was brighter than i thought it would be, but good fruit and flavors and structure. it seems as though it could last for a bit longer

Massive wine, almost irritatingly rich. Very Hazelnut-driven profile that's almost Meursault like, and quite creamy. Lots of oak, but well integrated. Not as floral as one would expect given the varietals. A little too over the top to pair with most foods. Still, interesting and well made. And tasty. But not really my style. 90-91.

This is incredible! I have not had many wine like this so I will set this as my reference point. There is a tropical whiteness to this wine's nose, like toasted buttered macadamia nuts and white flower petals. In the mouth there is a smooth coconut(barely) cream, marzipan, spice, and a nice pineapple fond reduction. I will say that the coconut and tropicalness is not over the top, it just is part of the pure balance and lightweight but firm presence of this wine.

Largely consistent with previous tasting notes; the alcoholic note has been tempered down. I think this is as good as this one is going to get, so drink up if you have one.

syrupy, sweet and cloying...beautiful nose of peach and honey, but this did not improve with air, in fact it became a honey doughnut after roughly an hour, disappointing..

This last glass is really hitting on all cylinders. Rich, layered white fruits with vanilla wax, almond creme, and spice, just superb. Best with a good bit of air and warmer. This last third of the bottle I'd rate a 95, it truly is one of the most delicious wines I've ever tasted. It is not stable in the glass. and I really prefer this without food. I splash decanted this and returned it to the bottle 3 hours before serving it and now it is 2-3 hours later than that.

Phenomenal aromatics from the viognier and velvety, smooth, luscious mouthfeel. Interesting, complex and with waves of fruit, spices. This could be the best white Rhone varietal wine I've ever had. Glad to have two more.

Weird, awkward and just plain awful at this point. We tried it a various points in the nite but all who tasted agreed. The only person who liked it was one of the saute cooks at my local restaurant. He got the last half of the bottle and may end up getting a few more.......

gained some weight since my last bottle, starting to show similarities to the 02 at room temp. The waxy almond peach marzipan are starting to show full, still crisp on the end. Should be peaking, if the similarities to 02 hold, in late 08 to 09.

Probably an injustice rating this wine at such a young age. This is comparable to the 02 at the same lifepoint. Right now, not much is going on in comparison to what should occur in 2-3 years. Very sweet, without the smoky oily almond peach pear honey that will show when mature. Not much on the nose, and on the mouth it is mid weight with a slight pineapple (not to be confused with a Kistler Catherine Chard type of pineapple) taste. Wait these out, I will not touch another one for 18 months.....

Large-scaled and full of spicy tropical fruits. Firmly acidic and downright tame by Kongsgaard standards. One of the more enjoyable Kongsgaards I've had.

I'm not really a Kongsgaard fan, but this was enjoyable. Typically creamy tropical fruits - well spiced peach and apricot. Nicely textured and not overdone, at least in the small dose I had.

Unlike others, I thought the wine was balanced and well made. This wine was Roussanne from front to mid and finished with the floral viognier. Slightly oily with a moderate finish. With that said, I was underwhelmed. Good, but not the success of some of their chards. They set high expectations with both their price and other wines. This wine is good, but not a stunner. Not worth the cost to play imho.

In the glass, pale gold, with a slight viscosity. On the nose, aromas of peach, flowers, and stone. On the palate, a mixture of peach, pear, and apricot, which is quickly overtaken by a hot alcoholic note. I wouldn't say this was balanced, but I also wonder if this might in fact have enough stuffing to stand for another year or two of aging. I may take my chances and let the next bottle sit for a while.
This wasn't an unreasonable match with grilled chicken, but it really wants to be paired with seared scallops in some sort of citrus reduction, or even better, briny oysters.

this was much lighter of a body than i was expecting. i had a few 2002s recently and i guess i like what the age does. it was still very nice but i was expecting a little more i guess.

Pale yellow. Warm peachy-lime aromas? Intense and hot. Flavors of acacia flowers, apricot and maybe some kiwi but with some stinging tartness hiding below (some sharp edges here - don't let the kids near this). Vaporish and high toned on palate; alcohol is high and flavors very intense -- not sure if balanced is the right word here but close and definitely a worthwile vinous experience. Do not drink this cold, it gets creamier and fruity-er as it warms, kind of like one of those glazed (and spiked in this case) fruit tarts at a high-end french bakery.

Very oily, spicy, minerals, peppery, pears. Thick and restrained. Same a day later. Just preferred this over the SQN Hoodoo Man

Typical tropical fruits and acidic. Still very tight and needs more years to fully integrate the dimensions of the wine.
