Short note - in the start very much eukalyptus, but as the time went on more and more the typical northern rhône style im just too, but very elegant. Iv'e been told that this is 100% Serine (clone of syrah) but not completely sure if thats tru. Blackberries, smoked bacon and cured ham, violets, crowberries, hint of chocolate, very elegant and very well balanced. Medium+ complex, long finish, elegant but also rustic style. Outstanding wine, 93p

Three hours of decant time, the nose and palate both present sweet bacon fat and a little iron and blood. The palate has a fair amount of heavy tannins to start off with that fade with more air time. Deep finish on this.

Aromatically expressive—Lovely violet aromas mingle with the smoky meaty thing on the nose. Acidity gives the wine wonderful freshness and lift on the palate. It’s got a little fizz so recommend vigorous and repeat double decanting.

Funky and quite a lot of fizz from the start. Needs a couple of hours to settle. After some air very much olives, raw meat, bright red fruit with high acidity. Tannins is very presant but not disturbing. Quite complex and good length. Interesting wine with special qualities. Think this will benefit from ageing and will prabably wait a couple of years to next bottle.

Blinds (Chicago, IL): The nose is about as Northern Rhone as it comes: saline and olives, a fair bit of barnyard, and fruit that lies on the red side of the spectrum. The palate is incredibly umami and saline, with a generous helping of barnyard, but with well-delineated red fruit as well. A touch of spritz on the back end and a little bit of mousiness here helps you conclude this is probably a pretty natural wine.
Nose: The nose is classic northern Rhône with white pepper, green and black olives, crushed rocks, raspberries, black cherries, leather, violets, and earth tones. There is excellent depth and definition to it with a funkier side.
Taste: Medium bodied with high acidity and medium+ tannins. The tannins are youthful but silky with white pepper, green and black olives, crushed rocks, raspberries, and black cherries.
Overall: This is a delicious, young Cote-Rotie. It certainly needs some time, but, there is something quite attractive right now.

Very lively bottle. This is not big, unctuous syrah. Rather this is slightly wild, full of vibrant acid and lovely fine tannin. It will mellow and I think will be best in 3-4 years...

From memory. I had three bottles of this in 2011 vintage that I overall really enjoyed so decided to pick up some 2014s. Mouth feel is extremely fresh, with almost a sparkling sensation right after opening. Nose is massively crowberries, pepper, dark cherries and hints of blood/game, and slightly medicinal - but all in a good way. With 45-60 minutes in the decanter everything is toned down and it really smoothens out, showing all of its adult side. Silky and seamless. Nice balance. Medium + lenght. Clearly open for business but will benefit from some more years of laying down. also time made sure to get the right temperature and give it a 1h decant. I am picking up a particular liking for this wine & producer. 91-92p.

Beauté d'équilibre, de fraîcheur, de textures, d'allonge, d'ossature mesurée, ... On aime... Beaucoup. Locasse au nez. Classique Syrah de la Côte-Rôtie de millésime plus frais, il s'offre tout de go... sans rien sacrifier en fraîcheur, tanins, minéralité... 92+

Tät kärna, mörkröd färg
Oliver, svarta oliver, olivspad, kaffe, te, bärigt, zucchini
Torr, stram, oerhört härlig längd, förvånansvärt slank
Ett härligt vin från en grym producent
