Dark berry on the nose. Deep violet and purple with slow to moderate legs. Light mouth feel. Cherry and plum on the palate. Smooth moderate finish with some spice. The spice became more prominent after the bottle was open for several days.

Medium purple color, definite rim variation. Nose of violets and plums. Medium bodied wine with light tannins, high alcohol, and medium-high acidity. Juicy blackberry, dark cherry, black raspberry, grape, and plum flavors with additional notes of black pepper, licorice, and spices.
A staple in my house, perennial QPR for this "entry level" Central Coast Syrah is off the charts. Go ahead and drink the 2014 now, then buy every vintage until you win the lottery...possibly even after. Cheers!
Dark and savory....concentrated but not overly extracted....red berries..leather..with slight smoke...always one of my favorites year in and out... delicious. Excellent QPR at 15 to 16$.

Well, the hard things is to score a wine without consider the QPR. Important to note that the $$ is not the first thing - the dark rambling fruits, the reductive nature, the aromatics....Why, yes, I'll have another. This rocks the shelf and is a great representation at a price point that should make you blush (and perhaps buy more...) Over-delivers in the best possible ways. @amvwine

Consistent with my prior tasting notes, this bottle was solid, and an excellent value for the price. Herbs and dark red fruit notes on nose and palate. Medium-bodied. I really enjoy the 2014 vintage of this wine.

2009 vintage was the last case I bought before this one. Only have few bottles left. . Not sold in Washington state except through online retailers. I can usually find a deal on a case with free shipping at around $14 a bottle. It’s an alright weeknight bottle. A lot of alcohol and too Grapey. I’m not into this style syrah much these days..I’d rather pay a few dollars more for something a bit more savory.

Tous les jours. I would gladly drink this every day. The nose is all eucalyptus followed by a big mouthful of dark fruits--blackberry, dark cherry--with tobacco and spice. Thin fine legs in the glass but not too hot on the palate. Medium long finish. Really good value.

Dark magenta with very dark core. Blackberry, espresso, anise, and flowers and the nose and palate. Intense, concentrated, and polished mid-palate. Not tannic or acidic. Short blackberry finish. Very good, early-drinking Syrah. Definitely one to buy, at less than $20 per 750ml. 89-91.

First whiff was leather and blueberry with some funkiness too. Deep purple that is unmistakably a New World Syrah as was the first taste. Licorice accents to the blackberry pie notes that are present throughout. WHile a bit too much alcohol burn at first it is a great, tasty everyday type of wine for those that like a more fruit forward offering. No one should have to argue the great QPR either.

P: MF, poss Med, body; Almost swtish frt (poss with a TOUCH of heat?) met by an astringent pucker. Long finish with a slight astringency to the dusty tannins. For my palate I'd want to give this 18 mos or so, then a potential steal @ the tasted $13.99? 92 pts WE with “Editors' Choice” (7/1/16) @ $18, and 88 ea Vinous (Galloni) & WS. [As of mid Mar '20, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $16].

A lot of wine for the price, this very fruit-forward syrah is full of pepper and practically olallieberry. Not for the timid. Delicious with Humboldt Fog cheese.

Definitely new world; fruit-forward with some lightly toasted oak, black pepper and cinnamon. Fairly thick body but short finish. Simple, but not bad for $15. Will not interest serious northern Rhone drinkers; better for beginners or dilettantes.

Many Central Coast Syrahs have a very slight funk that makes them easy to identify blind, but this wine had a LOT of funk. Almost an earthy roasted meat on the nose, followed by smoke on the palette, then blackberry and other fruit tastes.
No other reviews mention the funk, so it's possible my bottle is off. If I get something different on day 2, I'll edit this note.
EDIT: Revisited on Day 2. Saved about half the bottle in the fridge. About 90% of the described funk had burned off, leaving just the primary tasting notes. Still not scoring because the weird day 1, but day 2 actually merited my wife saying that she liked it, so a win in my book. Will re-buy.

American and French Syrah (SF Wine Trading Company): Dark. Brambly blackberry nose. Medium to full bodied. Good texture with a layer of glycerine, ripe but still lively since cut by good acidity. Good for the price in a New World style.

89-90. Simple but very well executed new world Syrah. Full bodied and extracted without cumbersome oak or jarring tannins.
Juicy acid, supple blueberry, black cherry and crunchy BlackBerry. Tangy white and black pepper with a clean minerality balance the ripe new world fruit but oak presence is minimal on the pallette. Fresh but not too young. With the screw cap it's great for immediate drinking.
My first AM Sarah that definitely lived up to my high expectations. Buying more.

A big, burly, slightly rustic rendition of New World Syrah. A heady nose leads to more of the same on the palate, with licorice accents to the blackberry pie notes that dominate. A big hot, but still quite tasty. A crowd-pleaser that has enough cut to stand up to food. A solid deal for $15.

White truffle, blue fruit, white pepper and coal. A medium finish, with a relaxed sheen. Not overtly complicated, and still offers lovely nuance and a fair amount of contemplation. Drink now - 2019.

Excellent wine and a fantastic value. Dark purple color; medium-full bodied; dark fruit on nose and palate, with smooth velvety tannins. Much as name suggests, this is an everyday drinking wine, in my book.

This 2014 is dark inky purple colored, full bodied with black cherry and black raspberry fruits with tones of black pepper and spice, a subtle layer of graphite metallic detracts from its smooth approachability for my preference but Linda likes this style, with its full forward fruits and smooth moderate tannins on the lingering finish.

agree with the funkiness noted below, which seemed to fade after about 3 hrs decant, Try for longer decant , or more age, Dark Syrah lurks beneath
