Aromatisk med en behagelig bærduft. Litt krydder/urter og fat. Middels fylde. Litt kjølig frukt av røde/mørke bær (kirsebær, solbær, bjørnebær). God balanse. Svake tanniner. Etter hvert virker frukten mer moden, det 'kommer det en del lakris, sedertre. Det øker kompleksiteten, men gjør at den fremstår litt mindre balansert. Godf lengde.

This was served on Father's Day which we celebrated with Louis, Ellen, Mario, Aurora, Pat and guest Jeff along with his paramour. Louis was proud to have recommended this wine and Jeff was proud of having brought it. Cork was dried out and was extracted in two segments. color was slightly brown. suspect this bottle may have been stored upright for too long. nose was shy. medium body. minimal acid and tannin. 33% merlot contributes to smooth body. 33% cab not discernible. 34% sangiovese contributes some weight. overall balanced. paired well with filet mignon. remains stable in the glass. a pleasant drink but nothing remarkable. good value at the lower end of the retail range. not sure this will last until 2021.
Cedar, violets, oregano, thyme, and earthy fruit on the nose. The palate shows similar notes but isn’t quite as complex as the nose would indicate. Regardless, this is a nice wine and a decent value below $20.

I found this a bit ho-hum. There's nice old world characteristics but overall it's simple and thin. The last glass was better than the first so more time needed?

We let this breathe all day and it still ended up being a tad tight. Think another 6-12 months will do it. The three varietals played nicely with each other and it was enjoyable, have bought in past and will in the future. It varies a little vintage year to year, but this one seemed to need a tad more age.

Had quite high expectations for this wine. One of the more expensive wines from a quality producer (I thought....). The oak kills the fruit at this moment. Sorry.

PnD 1/2 bottle let air for 90 mins. Dense dark purple with plum rim. Cassi plum cherry touch of charred vanilla and rosemary. Medium weight with nicely grippy ripe black tea and cherry skin tannins. All Bdx varietals up front on the palate with a Sangiovese finish. All works nicely and harmoniously. Good depth and complexity will age nicely over the next 5-10 years. Going to grab a few more.

Sangiovese 34%, Merlot 33% and Cabernet Sauvignon 33%
Full body, deep ruby color. Intense dried fruits aroma complements by cedar wood, tobacco and leather. Dominant dried plum and blueberry palate, long replete finish. Rich and complex, bold texture, well balanced, firm tannins and lovely berries acidity. Food friendly, best match is pasta or risotto. Serve 18º - 22º. Still young but very enjoyable, open about two hours in advance. Drink now and next eight years, perhaps longer.

Lovely and generous notes of cherries, chicory, vanilla, and leather on the nose. The palate flows with a smooth texture, obvious complexity, and raspberry, cherry, and hibiscus flavors. Good grip and length on the finish. Lots of appeal.

- Crimsom color - En flott super Toscaner IGT. Mrk rd pa farge. Duft av mrke br, seder og lr. Fin syre men tanninene her trenger nok et par ar til pa langs. Eller minimum 1-2 timer i bredbunnet karaffel for god lufting.z

Nose of earthy blackberries. After that all tannin all the time. No flavor whatsoever. As good as the 2012 was the 2013 is awful. I can't help but wonder what happened. Bad bottles sent to St. Louis? I'll cherish the 2012 I have left.
Opaque ruby/purple color turning rust at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose has a strong whiff of alcohol and is highly mentholated with notes of eucalyptus on ripe red and dark berries, scorched earth, and leather. The palate is full-bodied, dense with a velvety texture. Flavors of dark cherry, raspberry, cola, meat and espresso are aptly balanced with bright acidity and toasted cedar. Finishes long and lifted with hints of smoke. Drink now with a 1-hr decant until 2028.

Dark ruby colour. Aromatic, coffeed nose with black cherry and toasty vanilla. Full, ripe and lush with warming alcohol and a long, coffee infused finish. Very tasty. 4/5

Drank with steaks and chicken parm and it showed its versatility. Very tannic with crisp plumb and cherry, and med + acidity that cut through the big food. Served at slightly chilled temp and would expect the fruit to get bigger at room temp. Didnt last long enough to know.

This finally makes it into the excellent category. As I have thought it subpar on many occasions the few glasses I had last night, while very primary had excellent Sangiovese red berry and plum fruit. The Cab showed some darker fruit as well. I still don't think I would buy this for long term aging but it was enjoyable for a short term drinker that could stand very well solo. Nice acid/tannin ratio. Not flabby but not too lean.

Doesn’t jump out at you and you may expect more from a super Tuscan, but it really surprised me as I drank it. Soft and smooth.

A reasonably complex super Tuscan that really improves with just a few years of age.

The nose screams Super Tuscan. A good bottle with pasta and meatballs with garlicky red sauce. A point better than a few weeks ago. Decent value.
