Savoury wine with aroma's of small red fruits, cedar and some flint as well. Fresh and fruity. Tannins are quit grippy so this would benefit from some red meat. Don't use a very intense sauce since it will overpower the wine.

Just opening now. Has a long future ahead. Medium to full bodied with a nose of frangrances and a taste of strawberry paired with vanilla and licorice.Unusual combination but very attraktive. And as always...WS has given a lifetime of Year of make + 5. How bizarre.

Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; Moulis and Listrac (@ RW): Beautiful and creamy bouquet with red and black berries and beautifully dosed oak. On the palate full bodied and round with red and dark berries, a pleasant touch of sweetness, very juicy acidity and round, slightly sticky tannin. Lovely wine which will improve over the next 4+ years. 89+
From a 375ml bottle. Aired in the bottle ca 2 hours. Subtle nose of cedar and dark cassis fruit. Medium bodied, supple and smooth with nice tannic bite, delivering subtle tart dark fruit, a bit of cedar and a hint of pencil lead with firm acidity. Feels overall a bit closed but is texturally very good and full of promise.
A déjà mieux paru. Mes souvenirs des 2005, 2009 et 2010 montre que ce vin est beaucoup plus austère et boisé. Encore un fois, c`est lourd et assez unidimensionnel. On passe!
70/30 Merlot/Cabernet. Medium nose shows black plum, dried mocha, espresso, fresh herbs. Palate matches the fruit tones, adds structure, medium plus tannins and body. Sense of place with cigar box, graphite or pencil lead. Still drinking young, but nice value choice for Bordeaux.
Strong smoky nose, dark and concentrated fruits. A lot of earthy, leathery notes and a fairly bold wine. Tannic, not very well balanced - needs more time in bottle to smooth out. Left poured in glass for about 20-30 mins, but just opened this bottle too early I think. This probably won’t ever be one of my favorites but I bet it’ll be a lot better in another 5 years.
Overall good balance of Tannins, and medium body. I found the fruit a little more more on the fig/raisin like. Overall ok but will not be adding to my cellar.
Plum Market Fall Luxury Tasting (Chicago, IL): A little too structural for bistro drinking. Nose is slightly mute; the palate is pretty dense and shows a lot of leathery tannin. Not the most enjoyable to drink now.
Soft yet plush. It spent a little too much time in oak to showcase its rustic Listrac-Médoc terroir effectively, and yet it features many hallmarks of quality Bordeaux. It lacks the substance to improve by any appreciable measure, but it should hold for five to seven years. 89-90.
Baron Edmond de Rothschild Bordeauxs: A deep nose of juicy red and black currant fruit, so pretty, with deep floral tones, too. Young and grippy but fresh and vibrant as well. Juicy black cherries topped in leather, cocoa, clove, lovely earthy and floral tones. Elegant even this young, I’m really impressed with the vibrancy. The oak and extraction has been dialed down since the 2011 (when Michel Rolland was consulting), this is a lovely wine with time ahead.
Tasted next to 2013. Crunchy red and dark berry fruit, good ripeness but very fresh and pure, nice minerality, medium length. Quite linear, but really good. 88-90

One of the few wines in the Medoc with vineyards planted to 100% Merlot, the wine is light to medium bodied, with a crisp bright, red berry, cedar and tobacco character with some tartness in the finish.
Union Des Grand Crus de Bordeaux Tasting of the 2015 Vintage, blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon which is atypical from the usual 100% Merlot, nose of black cherry, wet gravel road, floral notes of spring flowers, same on the palate, big body, tasty, needs five years in the cellar to peak and it follows in the footsteps of past vintages, touch simple, medium amount of soft tannins, Cabernet fruit showing well today and rich and a medium finish.,

Decanted for 20 minutes, too short at this stage. Dark fruit, black cherries, chocolate. Tannins are not yet integrated. Medium finish
