In a good spot. Lots of sweet fruit as PNP and begs for another sip. Becomes much more balanced with an hour of air. The oak is still in the background so thinking it still has plenty of life left.

The 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon displays dense, concentrated aromas of ripe boysenberry, blackberry, dark plum and cassis, with a hint of spice, preface intense, deeply concentrated, blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry flavors, culminating in a long finish shot through with a blackberry fruitiness. With a superb balance of rich fruit, bright acidity and polished tannins, this youthful red merits another 7-10 years of bottle aging, although no one who opens it sooner will be disappointed.

Needed an hour to open up. Still primary, blackberry and plum. oaky and chocolate notes, with some leather on the long finish. This has the structure and balance to improve. A well made, if not distinctive, Napa cab.

A little bit ‘prickly’ with dry spiciness I wasn’t expecting. Lacking any real plushness and the finish was not much either. Pleasant but not memorable or noteworthy

Drank over 2 days. Dark and viscous in the glass, all the way to the rim. Currants, black cherries, dark chocolate and plum on the nose. Upon first sip, a classic well-made Napa cab, heavier fruit and oak profile but with decent structure and acidity to back it up. Big, bold and quite loud, not very complex. Initial finish was of smokey chocolate. By the next day it had calmed down and was more enjoyable. Not my style hence the score, but a good wine nonetheless.

Slowed oxed for 2 hours. Aromas of blackberry, currant, chocolate, iron and dusty berry. Flavors of blackberry, currant, black cherry, chocolate and a touch of iron. Ends with a chocolate finish of 25-30 seconds. Really nice wine and a touch ahead of the honig I just had.

Dark black fruits, with a good nose and finish. Nothing overly complex just a well made good wine. Consumed over multiple nights using a coravin with consistent results.

We pnp'd two bottles at dinner. The nose is dark fruit, the palate is dark berries, plum, fig and some coffee grounds. The finish is moderately long and lush. The last glass of the second bottle was the best which leaves me to believe a two hour decant would definitely improve the scoring.

Very good right now. Smooth berry with just a hint of cherry, and a littlest bit of spice lingering in the background. Was great just out of the bottle, but even better after breathing. Had with grilled steak -- perfect. Nice finish, with hardly any noticeable tannins. Definitely easy to drink. Just a wonderful steak wine that is also very nice all by itself.

Second time having this in the past year. Didn’t like this as much this time as I did the last time. Found this to be very sweet and a little flat. Maybe the bottle is in a weird phase. Come back in a few years. 85

I tried 2 bottles of this within a couple weeks. One was aerated and the other was not. I preferred the latter. Good both ways but better without aeration (for now). Nice dark full cab. Has some time to get better too. Not sure if it will be til 2025 as I see suggested. I will enjoy finding out though.

Had at Nicks in Laguna. Really nice building blocks here. Great, strong Californian flavours, lots of fruit. Bold, but much too young in my opinion. I think 5 years in the cellar would increase the score substantially. 87++

Served at a friends for a pre-Christmas get together. Dark black/blue fruit with a touch of red - blackberry, dark currants, and plum. Fairly smooth mid-palate but the fruit came across somewhat light and a little tannic. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep and a little tart. Popped and poured which probably wasn't fair in light of its youth. A decent decant probably would have helped. 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot.

Deep red color. Dark fruit and earth on the nose. Cinimum spice finish. Nice bottle that I may have opened too soon. Flavor was there, but lacked real depth. Still had some heat on the finish. Not something that I would pick up again, but was enjoyable with a nice ribeye.

Big and bold. Very primary nose, ripe red currants and blackberries. Earthy stewed plums and baked currants on the palate with baking spices on the long finish. Noticeable heat but doesn't turn medicinal. $135 / bottle at Gibson's Steakhouse in Chicago (near O'Hare). Enjoyed but glad company was footing the bill for this trip. Seemed a decent value for their list which was CA centric, would choose again if I am not paying :) Like it as a B+ for a steakhouse purchase.

Decanted. Dark fruit, cherry and plum. Medium tannins. Lots of kegs. Plenty of life left, could easily age another 3-5 years.

On the side of the “good not great” comments. Expected more,at this price point. But still a very nice wine.

Oaky, commercial CabSav as so typical from this region. Less heavy as the 2013 but aromatically rather bland.
