First off, like many Bogle wines, is well made with whatever hodge podge of ingredients it started with. That being said, it has none of the typical features of pinot noir. Like many of the Bogle wines, is muddled fruit foward without any real unique character. Inclusion of pinot grapes from Clarksburg is interesting, as the climate and geography are not typically for pinot producing region. Its food friendly, and would pair it like a Zin rather than drink it alone.

Enjoyable wine this evening. Still pink on the rim. Low+ tannins, spice in the flavor. Black cherries, bakers chocolate. Higher alcohol, low acid. Drank with Shepherd's Pie (lamb, ground beef, sausage, mushroom, peas, mashed potatoes

Drank with Thanksgiving dinner. Standard fare. Fruity and herbaceous. Tough to do a full review as allergies were in full swing. However, it was pleasant to drink now. I would probably wait another year to try it again, and then longer for the third bottle.

P: Med, poss MF, body; Rndish entry with ALMOST swtish frt met by some balancing structure which quite resolves by the fairly LONG, "pleasant". yet somewhat bitterswt finish. MIGHT improve for another few mos, then drink nicely through '19. NICE QPR *if* one forgets the relative lack of varietal character. 87 pts WE, 86 WS; Silver @ the '17 S.F. Chronicle Wine Comp in their least expensive P.N. category [This vendor's $8.95 puts it near the top of a JAM packed field, given the WS says Bogle makes 160,000 cs of this!]

A very herb-driven interpretation of pinot noir. Lots of oregano, sage, and earth, with just a little bit of tart cherry giving it a fresh and fruity edge. Light on the nose, but quite strong on the palate. Light to medium body with a relatively long finish. Quite good at this price. www.vincrush.com

Medium violet core and clear rim. Very translucent. Aroma dominated by barnyard with some grape punch and strawberry. Attack: ripe, juicy black cherry. Mid-palate: barnyard and overpowering burnt rubber. Finish: spice box and leather.
Intriguing, but somewhat unbalanced; fruits felt too muted. Perhaps a bit hot. Timid acidity. Thin body and a long length.

Pleasant pinot character when opened. Strawberrys, cola, trace of a sweet bubble gum flavor. Light bodied, the flavors are basically muted afetr 2-3 hours. For 10$ and honest tasting pinot that leaves the room after a while. There are no off notes, no chemical flavors I often find with cheaper wines.

Doesn’t taste like a Pinot. Stewed black cherry, sweet tobacco, and a touch of oregano.

Clean and crisp, less acid than many other less expensive Pinot Noir's. For the price, it's hard to go wrong here. Try it, I think you'll be pleased.
