Tasted blind. Lean, even savory, notes pf white flowers and peach. Oak is too pronounced. With air it softened but there’s not enough stuffing to support it.

Exceptional depth to the mid-palate combined with a deft touch of orchard fruits and just enough mineral influence make this a wonderfully in-balance example currently. Plenty of power and in general drinking so well considering how premoxed this vintage has been. Exceptional juice.

The 2005 Le Cailleret is in a very attractive place right now, combining fresh stone fruit and floral aromatics with aged notes of truffle, earth, and spice. Still very energetic on the palate, with great acidity, intensity, and a medium weight. This wine has the bones to age positively for many more years but is stunning today.

First bottle was corked, 2nd wonderful. Floral aromatic start with ripe apple and sweet spice. Lush apple and pear flavors to start with lots of minerality and acidity coming through from middle to finish. Improved with more time in glass.

Riktig flott vin, men etter 2-3 timer viste vinen klare tegn på å ha antydning til oksydering så dette var ingen perfekt flaske. Allikevel alt for god til å tømmes i vasken så nåde gikk for rett.

Slight signs of seepage. Popped and poured. Medium gold color. Terrific nose of minerals, flowers and a touch of vanilla. Somewhat restrained on the pallet at first, but opened up after about 30 minutes. Rich citrus and peach flavors. Smooth, but with good balancing acidity. Drinking well today.

This wine has been very accurately described in previous tasting notes. The nose and palate are both sweet, intense, peachy and minerally. Very nice wine.

Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): Stunningly clean nose. Cotton, peach, fuzzy peach, lime zest. Nice touch of brioche. Some nice slate. Kiss of oak. Elegant and the palate is super balanced. No rough edges. A little body and a slight richness I enjoy.

With Troisgros inspired Salmon with sorrel this thing was the bomb. It has intensity and restraint and has all sorts of engaging, subtle aromas of citrus fruits, blossoms and pure white peach. It has a light dairy note that works well with the creamy sauce of the dish and has great shape. There’s a suggestion of tangerine and good citric cut, mirroring the tartness that the sorrel imparts to the sauce. It has good cut to the finish and leaves a rich and heady imprint.

bit disappointing but maybe in need of more time...bit lean and not particularly structured...maybe in dumb phase but not sure it has raw material to gain weight and blossom...will wait and open another one in a year or so...hopefully will dodge premox

Good, but needs more time I think. Sharp and acidic with the lemony characteristics a touch out of balance. Good richness but not enough to save it. Nice purity, classic puligny, but missing something
